PlayGrand aims to emulate the classy feel of top-end casino resorts. Think of the swanky casinos of James Bond films, and you’ll not be too far off the look and feel of this site.

The deep grey colouring gives an elegant feel, and I knew as soon as I landed on the site what PlayGrand was going to be all about.

There’s no sense of pomp here though. It still feels welcoming as a new player, and the games, deposit minimums, withdrawal limits and other terms are still accommodating to more casual players as well.

My preconceptions lived up to reality. A selection of over 2,500 games was waiting for me, drawn from well over 50 different game developers—including some highlight names like NetEnt, Microgaming, Nolimit City, Play’n GO and Blueprint Gaming

Heavily slots focused, I knew I was in the right place for an engaging, fun slots experience that had the potential to deliver what I was looking for.

Expect a reliable slot site where the player comes first

PlayGrand presents a trusted face to the world, powered by White Hat Gaming software known for its reliability and robustness. A UK licence from the Gambling Commission backs this up, and I was pleased to see this slots site taking a proactive approach to encouraging responsible gambling

Beyond the slots and jackpot slots on offer here, there are also decent options for fans of live casino and table games. These come from industry-leading developer, Evolution Gaming, with a bit of help from Pragmatic Play. As much as I’m a fan of Evolution’s work, it was good to see live gaming from someone else for a change. The Pragmatic Play games lived up to expectations, and I felt like I wasn’t short of options for something to play.

From account registration to withdrawal, I found the whole process at PlayGrand to be seamless and pretty straightforward. Top marks here, especially as a newer slots site, for getting the processes working so effectively from the get-go. Payouts were easy enough, though took a bit longer than I’d like, but support was there 24/7. The whole thing just worked like you’d want it to, and I had no problems along the way. A good start for a slot site that wants you to feel like you’re a VIP player, even if you’re betting low amounts.

PlayGrand's Best Slots

Here's a glimpse at PlayGrand's best online slots. They've all been reviewed and rated by us based on a number of key factors. Simply tap on a game to find out more, or, grab one of our exclusive PlayGrand bonuses and head over there now to browse their full list of games.

Sorting:

If a slots site is to be truly ‘grand’, you’d better hope it has a large selection of games. By no means the largest I’ve seen at a smidge over 2,500 games, it’s still more than decent enough to pique my interest. As you’d hope, this is a site that puts slots at the front and centre of what it has to offer, with a bold selection of games present on the homepage.

The main navigation is ordered to help you find the games you want in order of preference. ‘Discover’ is the default tab, which shows you a selection of the best and latest slots, or choose ‘Top Games’ or ‘New Games’ respectively to sort by quality or recency, depending on what takes your fancy.

‘Slots Games’ houses all the slots you could want; your portal to access the full catalogue that lives at PlayGrand. I’m always impressed by slot sites that offer variety as standard, and PlayGrand has clearly done that when tying in different game developers.

There are over 50 different developers contributing to the collection here, including a who’s who of leading names. There are actually very few of the big names missing, so you can be sure that you’re in for a top-quality experience as far as the games are concerned.

Jackpot slots & live casino

Jackpot slots are also available, and there are quite a few of these to choose from. I liked the depth of the selection of jackpot games here, unlike some slots sites where these are a bit thin on the ground. Another tick for PlayGrand.

There are 40 games in the live casino, offering a good spread of different live gaming favourites. Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt Live and Monopoly Live were particular highlights for me here. Whatever your live game of choice, you can be confident it’s there in at least one or two variations to give you options.

Table games are also well-represented. Personally, I’m not too big a fan of table games when there’s such a big selection of slots, but some players do still enjoy Roulette, Blackjack, Poker and the like.

I counted 76 games in total under the Table Games section, though this does cross over slightly into the live casino offering. Nevertheless, you’ll find some solid games in here, including specials like Three Wheel Roulette, Fan Tan Live and Mississippi Stud Poker.

Promotions & Rewards

Promotions at PlayGrand are handled under the Promotions tab, linked from the homepage and from within your account. It’s easy enough to navigate to this area, but there’s not much going on here beyond the welcome offer.

This is definitely something PlayGrand should look to improve upon if they want to compete with the big boys.

In a strange twist, the promotions tab offers up ‘Top Games’ and ‘Responsible Gambling Tools’ as a way to fill the void left by the lack of promos. The design team might want to rethink that tactic!

Platform & Software

PlayGrand is powered by White Hat Gaming software, and is owned and operated by White Hat Gaming Ltd, a white label provider which powers a number of different slots sites. A sister site to Slot Planet (no longer available to UK players) and 21 Casino, PlayGrand management are no strangers to running successful slot sites—and it shows through the software, which I found to be smooth, intuitive and high performing throughout.

Speaking of software, it’s all from third-party developers with their own reputations for creating best-in-class games. Look out for the likes of NetEnt, Play’n GO, Pragmatic Play and others, who provide the content that makes PlayGrand an impressive slot site.

Everything works as it should, so there are no complaints from me on the platform or software side of things.

Banking

No one likes hanging around waiting for their money and while there is a decent selection of popular payment platforms on display at PlayGrand, it would be nice if processing times were improved.

Deposits are instant, as is usually the case, and there’s a £10 minimum in place. You find plenty of options, including Visa and Mastercard debit cards and common wallets like Skrill, Neteller and PayPal. I think most players will be covered by this, which is a plus point for PlayGrand.

Regardless of your withdrawal method, there’s a 48-72 hour pending time, before the transaction is dealt with. On top of this, E-wallets take anywhere from 24-48 hours from there, with other payment methods running to the usual 3-5 working days. The standard minimum withdrawal is £10.

If it weren't for their slower withdrawal speeds they'd have scored a near perfect 10/10 for their banking, but until they sort that out it's a credible 8/10 from me.

Licensing & Regulation

  • UK Gambling Commission Logo Reg no. 52894
  • Malta Gaming Authority Logo Reg no. MGA/B2C/370/2017

PlayGrand is operated and managed by White Hat Gaming Ltd. White Hat Gaming is based in the gambling island paradise of Malta, where the firm is headquartered, and holds a licence from the Malta Gaming Authority

White Hat Gaming is also licensed in the UK by the Gambling Commission, a regulator broadly seen as having sharp teeth compared to some of its industry counterparts.

This dual layer of licensing means that not only is PlayGrand operating within the law in the UK, but it actually has two separate fronts of compliance to worry about. A bit like having two bosses on your shoulder making sure you’re doing a good job—I know I’d be more thorough with two sets of eyes on me rather than one.

From a licensing and regulation perspective, PlayGrand gets two thumbs up from me.

Help & Support

Live chat
24/7

Support is another strong suit here, available 24/7 via live chat. Response times can run to a couple of minutes, but that's very good in the grand scheme of things. Make a cup of tea while you’re on the chat, and you’ll feel like it’s a virtually instant response.

There’s also email support, though no phone support from what I could see. This is probably something they’ll want to look into in future, though to be honest, I’d always prefer a live chat environment anyway—far better to have something in writing, rather than trying to remember what you were told on the phone. From a support perspective, PlayGrand is also doing more than enough to be a recommended slot site.
