Fruit Salad Review
Latest reports from nutritionists suggest we should all be eating more than five portions of fruit and veg a day. Some sources suggest it should be increased to 10, but who has time for that?
Games Global aim to make life easier by serving up helping after helping of cherries, plums and grapes. They won’t have any effect on your waistline, but will you want to come back for a second helping?
Design
There’s not much that can be said about a basic fruit machine slot that hasn’t been said already. Oranges, lemons, watermelons – all the usual fruits are present and correct, with the addition of a couple of bonus symbols.
Generic slot sounds accompany gameplay, and there’s the gentle murmur of a busy casino in the background. Everything is exactly as you’d expect.
Gameplay
No help or advice is needed to play Fruit Salad as it’s all so straightforward. Set your wager, spin the reels and hope for matching symbols across one of the 9 paylines.
A diamond Wild can stand in for any other icons, apart from the Scatter, helping to connect potential winning symbols. Scatter symbols don’t activate any bonuses, but they generate wins if you can spin up three or more in view.
Win Potential
Most online slots require you to click through to a paytable screen to find out what rewards are available for winning combinations. You don’t even have to do anything as strenuous as that when playing Fruit Salad, as the wins are all laid out above the reels.
Aside from the grapes, which pay out for matching just two symbols, even the lowest wins return your stake. The top-paying symbol is the blue 7, which pays 555x for five-of-a-kind across a payline. Fill all 9 paylines with 7s to trigger the top payout worth 4,995x your bet.
The generous RTP of 96.94% combines with low volatility to make this an extremely accessible game for all types of players. Even a modest bankroll should keep the reels spinning for an extended gaming session, and it could include some big wins too, although that’s never guaranteed, of course.
Our Verdict
Hands up, we’re not all the most enthusiastic fans of slot machine games, so a feature-free game is up against it from the start. But even though there are no bonus rounds – and no soundtrack – playing Fruit Salad turned out to be quite a relaxing experience. If you’re looking for a game to chill out to, this is certainly one to consider.
If the thought of no bonus features leaves you cold, we have other fruit-based games that might be more to your liking. In terms of excitement, we think FruitMax: Cashlinez, or Fruityways Bonanza Megaways are pretty hard to beat, but we have plenty of other fruit-themed slots if you’re still hungry for more.
