About Rapid Fire Jackpot
Although already an iGaming industry market leader when it comes to jackpots, the world-class developer Blueprint Gaming has created Rapid Fire Jackpots.
This jackpot debuted in June 2024 on nine titles. These span fruitful franchises and familiar IP-based games like The Lost Boys, as well as versions of some of Blueprint’s most successful classics, like 7s Deluxe and Luck O’ the Irish.
We often hear about the massive, life-changing wins that can result from network jackpots, but the unfortunate truth is that there aren’t enough to go around! This is where Rapid Fire Jackpots come in.
By dishing out a larger number of smaller (but not small) wins, Blueprint aims to give more players a taste of jackpot success.
Regarding the new Rapid Fire Jackpot, Blueprint’s Head of Product Charlie Jacka said “with our reputation as the Jackpot Kings, we’re thrilled to launch a new product that will shake up the space and offer something new.”
The jackpots
There are five jackpots that form part of the Rapid Fire Jackpot system: Mini, Minor, Major, Master, and Mega King. With five separate jackpots all progressing simultaneously, there are not only big prizes to be won, but plenty of opportunities to win them.
The initial prize pots range from £250 to £7,500 and are expected to drop much more regularly than other types of network jackpot.
How Rapid Fire Jackpots are triggered
Within the compatible games, players will come across Rapid Fire symbols. When five of these symbols land anywhere on the reels, the Rapid Fire Wheel is triggered.
Within the Rapid Fire Wheel mini game, players can spin for a chance of winning either a stake multiplier or one of the five progressive jackpots. Multipliers are worth between 5x and 1,000x your stake.
Rapid Fire Jackpot vs. Jackpot King
Most players are aware of Jackpot King games. This is one of the biggest progressive network jackpots in history, and it’s another Blueprint brainchild. Both jackpots are running side-by-side, but there are some key differences.
Jackpot King is all about offering the biggest possible wins, and that means limiting the number of winners. It has three tiers of jackpots with starting values ranging from £3,500 to £35,000. In the years since its launch, Jackpot King has made quite a few millionaires.
The Rapid Fire Jackpot, on the other hand, is about maximising the number of wins, so that more players can benefit. This has the effect of making the prize pots smaller, but increasing the entertainment value and win frequency. In short, players have a much better chance of hitting a Rapid Fire Jackpot.
The future of Rapid Fire Jackpots
Already a market leader, Blueprint’s popularity is likely to swell thanks to Rapid Fire Jackpots. Upon launch, these jackpot games were available in the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands and select other markets, but this is likely to be expanded gradually.
The popularity of the Rapid Fire Jackpot with players will influence how many more games it is added to. Still, it’s safe to assume that Blueprint will be bringing this mechanic to a number of other games in the future, implementing them into older favourites and new releases alike.
