Tic Tac Take Review
After the epic Snakes and Ladders Megadice, Pragmatic Play's Reel Kingdom decided to turn another traditional game into an online slot with Tic Tac Take.
This gaming slot plays on 5-reels with 10 paylines and features a respin mechanic mimicking the game of Tic-Tac-Toe. Fans of Snakes and Ladders Megadice do not want to miss out on the next classic game.
Design
The design is arguably simple but the best thing about this slot with a bright and vibrant background. There are floating orbs in the distance and it gives off a real retro feeling.
On the reels themselves, there are Os and Xs followed by decadent gems to pad out the rest of the payline system. They all look straightforward with no real complicated aspect to them, but it's fitting for this slot.
To fit with the neon vibe, there's a funky techno track playing in the distance that is both calming and upbeat. It finds the right blend to make it not annoying.
Gameplay
In this game, the core gameplay is ridiculously simple that anyone can pick it up and play. There is only one feature in this game and it's easy to follow.
Like most Pragmatic Play slots, there is a spin button at the bottom right with the bet level on either side.
Win Potential
This slot starts off strong with a great RTP of 96.63% but it begins to fall with the maximum win of a measly 2,200x your stake. Now, this amount wouldn't be so bad if this was a low volatility slot, but it's a high volatility slot.
The maximum win is usually expected to be 10,000x your stake at least with a high volatility slot - so it's a little disappointing.
Our Verdict
To say we were disappointed with this slot is an understatement. The overall premise and design are fantastic - but the execution lacks real creativity.
After Snakes and Ladders, we were expecting something cheesy but fun. We recommend this slot for players who prefer simple games or fans of fruit machine slots as they'll enjoy the simplicity of this slot. For those of you looking for a nostalgic trip, try out Snakes and Ladders Megadice instead.
