Monsters vs Gigablox Review
For years there has been a prophecy about the upcoming war between giant monsters and it's finally taking place in Monsters vs Gigablox. Developed by Hot Rise Games and Yggdrasil, this Gigablox slot plays on 6-reels with 50 paylines.
Throughout this battle between these colossal titans, players will experience massive symbols as well as free spins to decide on the victor. Can you survive long enough to reap the rewards?
Design
When the game opens, there is a metropolitan city that is literally on fire with smoke and derelict buildings. Alongside the smoke and ashes, there are helicopters flying around to get the best visuals.
All the action takes place on the reels with a variety of gruesome monsters on the reels. Each of the monsters is inspired by other monsters within fiction including Kongo Kong (King Kong), Lord Zar (Godzilla), Spartan Fighter V (Transformer), Great Old One (Cthulhu), Object 51 (Robot Monster) and Pyroana (Agamo).
The music throughout the slot is what you'd expect with the epic orchestra score with drums, violins and other big instruments. This creates something that builds up the atmosphere in the slot.
Gameplay
Aside from Gigablox and the free spins round, there is nothing too exciting going on in this slot. However, the feature that is here is enough for casual players or slot enthusiasts not to want anything too complicated.
Everything the player needs is at the bottom of the screen with the spin button and the bet level button. Non-UK players will be happy to find the bonus buy at the bottom to speed up the feature process.
Win Potential
Monsters vs Gigablox has a disappointing RTP that starts off strong with a great RTP of 96.10% as well as a high volatility level. However, it all goes downhill from the maximum win.
Players can only win up to 3,116x the stake through the free spins round and it's a low amount for a modern slot. It will definitely put off some high rollers.
Our Verdict
With a name such as Monsters vs Gigablox, we expected a monstrous payout but we were left a little dismayed by what was delivered. Sure, the gameplay features Gigablox and free spins but that's about it.
There are no massive multipliers or additional features that may this slot stand out. Additionally, the maximum win is surely off-putting to high rollers as well.
Monsters vs Gigablox is a slot that is worth a spin if you love Gigablox or monster slots but do not expect it to be your next fan-favourite slot.
