Wild Jack Remastered Review
You'd struggle to find the original Wild Jack from BF Games, as it's gradually been taken down online. Even the developer's website has taken away the original in favour of the upgraded version called Wild Jack Remastered. Just like the original, this slot is a traditional fruit machine slot mixed with Wild West elements to create something a bit more exciting.
Wild Jack Remastered plays on 3-reels with 27 paylines and barely any features. It's completely stripped for an experience to replicate a slot machine in a land-based casino. If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, then you are definitely in the right place.
Design
The background of this slot looks incredibly outdated - but we're guessing that's the look they are going for. With hand-drawn saloons and the fakest looking sky, this slot definitely looks like an old storybook. Personally, it looks old fashioned and will definitely turn off modern players.
Now, the designs on the reels are just traditional symbols with at least some animation during wins. At the end of the day, this slot isn't groundbreaking in design but it manages to deliver what it needs to do.
There are barely any sounds played throughout apart from some ambient sounds and the sound of the reels spinning. If you like silent slots to focus on your game, then perhaps this is for you.
Gameplay
What can you really say about a traditional fruit machine slot? It's pretty standard gameplay and is easy for anyone to pick up and play. All the menus can be found at the bottom of the screen, just in case, anything gets too complicated (but we doubt it as the paytable is literally one tiny sheet).
Win Potential
Wild Jack Remastered already disappoints at the beginning with a meagre RTP of 95.07% which is literally just on the threshold of being terrible. This paired with the high volatility and low maximum win of 135x stake is not a great combination.
You can win this amount by filling the reels up with Wild Jack and that's the biggest win you can get. Without any multipliers or enhancements, you can only get payouts through simple spins.
Our Verdict
As far as traditional fruit machine slots go, this is perhaps one of the most basic and lacking ones we've tried. The design was a huge disappointment considering that BF Games are known for their creativity and brilliant designs such as Stunning Cube or Bonnie & Clyde.
It's not even like modernising fruit machine slots is difficult as Play'n GO have delivered some amazing slots such as Fire Joker and Sticky Joker. If you liked the original and want to play this slot, then be our guest. For those of you who want an enjoyable experience try out Grand Spinn or Lucky 9 instead for a much better experience.
