Tales of Silver Megaways Review
As soon as you step on board Tales of Silver Megaways, you automatically get the feeling that this game is going to be a lot of fun. iSoftBet has gone the extra mile to create an awesome-looking production that features plenty of additional elements to capture our attention.
It's got great winning potential and the addition of the Megaways system certainly never hurts one bit. The only downside is that it’s extremely volatile. However, it looks to be a worthy slot in the Twisted Tales series.
Design
You could not really ask for much more from a production value point of view. The whole setting feels like it is part of the game with the pirate ship backdrop being anything but an afterthought. Several animated touches persist throughout with ropes and bells swaying in the background.
The game's symbols are fairly typical of this theme with a pirate, Jolly Roger flag, telescope and pistols making an appearance. The game board follows the traditional Megaways setting with rows expanding between 2 and 7 places with every spin. The soundtrack is a typical accordion affair that only ramps up a notch as you enter the bonus round. It is a fantastic effort that gets the thumbs up from us.
Gameplay
Despite the fact that there is plenty going on, it is not difficult to get to grips with this title. You simply select your bet total, hit the spin button and let those sea-faring savages do their worst. The rows expand and contract with each spin, apart from the top row which constantly slides offering 4 different symbols.
The work going on behind the scenes is thankfully nothing for us to worry about and we can just get on and enjoy the results. As usual, the big money can be found during the bonus round and it may take some time to get there. However, players outside the UK can use the bonus buy option. This will cost 75x the stake.
Win Potential
There is a fairly standard return to player with this game. It sits a little over 96%, which is seen as the industry average at present. The high volatility means that wins will be few and far between. But the vast majority of them will be of a pretty decent value.
Although it has to be said, you will need a fairly substantial bankroll to see you through if you are waiting for that one-off mega payout. All of the special features such as cascading reels and multipliers etc will add to the excitement along the way. And as long as you are playing within budget, it's great just to sit back and enjoy the ride and forget about the payouts for a moment.
Our Verdict
There is nothing to dislike about this game unless, of course, you don't like high-volatility slots. But if that is the case, then you might as well walk the plank right now and abandon ship.
We love the added touches to the animation and the additional winning potential that random mystery symbols and free spin multipliers can bring. It is a top product that will keep many slot fans occupied for the foreseeable.
Alyx has always loved slots and continuously follows their progress and development. She’s a big fan of gridded slots and music themes as well, so it makes sense that Def Leppard Hysteria is her absolute favourite. She can’t wait to see what’s next in the Play’n GO rock series.
