Electric Avenue Review
Electric Avenue is a funky eighties-themed slot from All41 Studios, a subsidiary of Microgaming. This 6-reel, 4,064 ways to win slot is beautifully designed and has a real feel-good vibe to it that genuinely kept us interested whilst playing. This slot might be heavily influenced by Danger! High Voltage when it comes to features such as the wheel multiplier during neon free spins, but it has its own merits and is well worth a spin.
Design
Electric Avenue is a true ode to the eighties. If you're a child of that generation then you're going to love this slot. Everything you see is a nod to generation X. Here you'll find brightly coloured symbols and memorable items such as high-tops, shutter shades and Rubix Cubes.
There are four different wild symbols players should look out for, with one wild being assigned to each reel. Reel 1 features a cheerleader on rollerskates, reel 2 features a guy dressed in Michael Jackson's attire, reel 3 is a woman singing karaoke and reel 4 is a guy that looks suspiciously like Marty McFly riding a skateboard.
Behind the reels there's an atmospheric image of what we can only assume is 1980s Miami at dusk, which fits the aesthetic of the game perfectly.
In terms of sound, Electric Avenue delivers exactly what you'd expect. A catchy electro tune that wouldn't sound out of place in a 1980s disco. If you're planning on playing for an extended period of time though you might want to mute it, as it can get a little bit samey.
Gameplay
This slot looks a little different to others in terms of navigation. All the game's buttons are on what sort of looks like a watch, on which is situated the right-hand side of the game reels. The central button spins the reels, whilst the settings button and paytable can be found above it. Below it is the autoplay button (that can set up to 100 automated spins) and a stake button that can see players set their stake between 0.20 and 24.00 (however this will vary from casino to casino).
Win Potential
Electric Avenue is a highly volatile slot with an agreeable RTP of 96.37% and a maximum win of 6,833x your stake. It's fair to suggest that unless you've got the bankroll to sustain your gameplay then this slot should be avoided, it's not exactly friendly to low-budget players, as you'll find your money swallowed up pretty quickly.
Our Verdict
If you like your games filled to the brim with nostalgia then honestly, look no further, this game has it all and more. It's fair to say All41 Studios haven't exactly reinvented the wheel with this game, but it's still incredibly fun to play. It's an all-round good play and we'd recommend giving it a go if the opportunity arises.
