The game is a 5x5 grid, with 8 regular symbols, ranging from the lower-paying SIM card up to the higher-paying images of what appear to be the first-ever memes.
Brick Snake 2000 wouldn't be complete without the xWays feature. In the base game, xWays can land on any reel. In Brick Snake 2000, this is a floppy disk, and it reveals a stack of the same symbol, increasing the ways to win. There’s a total of 3,125 paylines.
Where things get a bit more complex is with the special symbols.
The symbols themselves are pretty straightforward, but it’s the sheer volume of them that makes this game seem a little overwhelming.
By landing scatters you enter the free spins rounds. Both free spins games are pretty similar - your Sneks move around the board, moving left, right, up and down, exactly like the old Nokia Snake game from back in the day.
The only difference between the free spins games is that the ‘Super’ version has the Collector 2000 symbol, which helps you multiply your winnings.

But the insane graphics and images coupled with multiple mentally nauseating backing tracks, make this game feel like a visual and auricular assault.
I don’t know if any sane person could play this game with the sound on for more than a minute without having to check into some sort of clinic. Perhaps Nolimit City has finally pushed me over… my limit?
I tried so hard to like this slot - I really did. It should have been perfect for me, and once I understood what the team at Nolimit were going for, I was genuinely excited to try it. Brick Snake 2000 is a fast-paced and dynamic game, but personally, I couldn't get past the headache-inducing graphics and various musical scores that sounded like the soundtrack to a bad acid trip.
If you're someone with a strong stomach, I encourage you to give this game a go. As for me, I think I'll go back to my Smash Hits and Bacardi Breezers, and then have a little nap.
