To win, players need to land matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from the first reel. Said reels can expand and contract, and there’s an extra row at the top of the grid, so you can effectively end up with a 5x7 grid and 7,776 win ways.
The low-pay symbols are the 10 to Ace cards and landing a 5-of-a-kind will win you up to 1x the stake. The different types of fruit are the high-pays, with 5-of-a-kind being worth up to 5x the bet. Wilds substitute for all normal pay symbols.

An orange cherry symbol will absorb the values of all the cash symbols on the screen while leaving them in place to be collected again at the end of the round. The Purple does the same but also absorbs the value of any orange symbols.
It’s worth noting that players can trigger more than 1 LocknWin at once (hence the name), and they play out simultaneously. In fact, there’s a feature where if you manage to accumulate Purple Stars on each of the 5 reels, you’ll trigger all 3!

The values of the standard winning combinations are a little tame, but the instant cash symbols more than make up for that. They seem to fall quite regularly, as do the collect symbols. The different LocknWin symbols are hardly a rare occurrence either. You almost always feel as though you’re on the verge of hitting a big win or triggering 1 or, who knows, even 3 of the bonuses.

The game’s mathematical model is advertised as being highly volatile, but given the rather low value of the winning combos and the frequency with which I was able to trigger the special features, I’d say it plays much more like a game with medium volatility - that’s just my experience, though!
