USA Flip Review
It seems that Play'n GO is all about 'Flip' at the moment as the company has created multiple 'Flip' slots. Each of these games centre on a specific culture and showcases all the stereotypes about it.
The next slot to get the 'Flip' treatment is USA Flip. As the name suggests, this game is all about America with the slot following an American Eagle on a motorbike preparing to be a daredevil.
Keeping it simple, this game plays on 5-reels with 20 paylines. This bizarre slot is perfect for fans of America or for players wanting something visually different.
Design
The slot does not look like much when you open it up. It even looks like a game from a completely different developer. There is something off about the overall design that does not feel up to Play'n GO's standards.
USA Flip sets the stage right with crowds of people surrounded by American flags but the quality of the design feels a little tacky. The texture almost feels a little grainy.
Next to the reels, there is an eagle riding a motorbike. He is preparing to do a daredevil stunt and is animated next to the reels. However, he is insanely creepy and his design is not cute in the slightest.
Play'n GO definitely tried to do something unique and funny - but that is not the result. The overall design is just lacking some magic from the developer. The only redeeming quality is the incredible electric guitar playing throughout the slot.
Gameplay
When the game opens up, you can expect quite standard gameplay. There are a few things that can happen during the base game including respins and walking wilds. However, the conditions are quite specific for these.
The best feature to trigger in this slot is easily the free spins round. Up to 120 spins can be gained leading to a marvellous time! In order to trigger free spins, you'll need to land 3 or more bonus symbols.
One aspect of the slot that we found strange was the 'coin value', 'coins' and 'lines' settings which are not common for Play'n GO. When setting your bet level, check the actual amount at the bottom of the screen and do not just follow these settings.
Win Potential
Sadly, not even the win potential can save this slot. The RTP is above average at 96.20% but this is the only thing that is above average. Even the volatility is medium and straddles the line of high and low volatility wins.
Whilst there are up to 120 spins, the maximum win only goes up to 1,000x stake. This is low even for a medium volatility slot. We would've expected something at least 5,000x stake from Play'n GO but we were left disappointed.
Our Verdict
USA Flip is a missed opportunity from Play'n GO. The premise could've led to something amazing and quite hilarious but the developers didn't go the extra mile. It's sad to think but it feels like Play'n GO did not put in the right amount of effort for this slot.
Perhaps if a developer like Nolimit City or Relax Gaming created this slot, then it could've been better. This slot is for a small number of players looking for an eagle riding a motorbike paired with simple gameplay. If this sounds like the slot for you, then be our guest!
