This is the fourth time these chaps have risen and the big winning opportunities continue to follow them around. Given that the surrounding building is supposedly about to become the setting for an epic battle, it actually looks rather homely. The fires are burning and the lanterns sway gently in the breeze—it doesn't seem like chaos is imminent. All of the audiovisual elements are well crafted and created to the highest spec but it is all a little predictable. A few more animations, beyond the Expanding Wilds, would have been nice but this simple production at least looks fantastic on mobile devices as a result.
There isn't much to complain about here but the low level of modifiers probably won't have you grinning like the Cheshire Cat either. It's fairly standard reel-spinning fun with the Expanding Multiplier thrown in to perk things up a little. Having a choice of volatility settings to affect your free spins is a nice touch and I always appreciate an add-on to spice things up a bit.
Rising to become the most victorious of samurais can potentially land you a 15,000x max win. The volatility level is high, but this can expand even higher, depending on the type of free spins arrangement that you would like to see. RTP levels will also bounce around between the Base game and the Free Spins Bonus if you live outside the UK and have the option to buy directly into the feature.
My time spent with Rise of Samurai IV was surprisingly calming despite Pragmatic Play continuing to bug me with the omission of definite articles in its slot titles. Grammar issues aside, there’s a lot to like about this game from the high-quality graphics to the variation in Bonus round trigger. It’s not my go-to slot niche, but there’s something about this one that stands out.
