Rise of Samurai III Review
As the next instalment in the Samurai slot series, Rise of Samurai III follows Rise of Samurai and Rise of Samurai Megaways. Neither of those slots was incredibly popular, but Rise of Samurai III looks to change that.
Developed by Pragmatic Play, Rise of Samurai III plays on 5-reels with 40 paylines and focuses on free spins and wild multipliers in this oriental slot. With a payout of up to 10,000x the stake, Rise of Samurai III looks to be the biggest slot in the series yet.
When the slot opens up, it's clear that the game is set in an Ancient Japanese temple surrounded by unique floral designs as well as dragons surrounding the reels. The overall design feels grand and like something straight out of a samurai movie.
On the reels, there are various people with unique looks that stand out as people you definitely do not want to mess with. These characters go well with the Japanese weapons on the reels creating the perfect atmosphere for the slot.
The music is what you'd expect from an oriental slot with shamisens playing throughout as well as wind and percussion instruments to create something ethereal.
The core gameplay of Rise of Samurai III is easy to follow with only one main feature in the form of free spins. Once free spins are triggered, there are sticky wilds and multipliers leading to the biggest wins.
In true Pragmatic Play style, the relevant buttons for this slot are at the bottom of the screen with the spin button and bet level.
Surprisingly, the win potential for Rise of Samurai III is pretty decent with an RTP of 96.57% which is over the average standard level. Naturally, there is a high volatility level leading to larger wins but less often.
The biggest surprise comes in the form of the maximum win of 10,000x the stake which is brilliant. This can be achieved through the free spins round with the multipliers.
It's safe to say that Rise of Samurai III is the best slot in the series yet as the win potential is radically improved and the design is of a top quality.
That's not to say that more features wouldn't have been appreciated, but the gameplay that is here is delightful in delivering solid entertainment.
