Fish Upon A Cashpot Review
Once upon a time in 2013, the iGaming world was introduced to the magnificent slot series that is Wish Upon with the debut slot Wish Upon A Jackpot. This series led to a multitude of different stories ranging from fairytales to Irish folk tales.
Blueprint Gaming decided it was time for a new avenue to be explored within this series and Fish Upon A Cashpot was born. Playing on 5-reels with 20 paylines, this fishing slot focuses on free spins and the mighty cashpot leading to fish-tastic wins of up to 5,000x stake.
For a Blueprint Gaming slot, it's surprising that the design of this slot is pretty impressive. Firstly, the background of the slot is set at the bottom of the ocean surrounded by plant life and bubbles. Surprisingly, the slot is also animated with plants moving in the water and bubbles floating to the surface.
Most of the symbols on the reels are related to the slot with goggles, pots of fish, chum and a discarded boot surrounded by fish. The design of this slot is quite cute with each of the underwater creatures having adorable designs.
Thankfully, there is no silence in between spins and there is a tropical-inspired song throughout. The music continues throughout spins and is joined by bubble sounds which is a cool attention to detail.
Fish Upon A Cashpot does not have a huge amount going on in the base game, but players can still trigger the cashpot amounts leading to some big wins. The most thrilling moments appear during the free spins round with the wilds removing symbols.
Players will find the cashpot on the left side of the screen with the different amounts and the criteria to reach them. To the right side of the screen, there is the spin button followed by the bet level and other paytable information that players may need.
Like most Blueprint Gaming slots, the RTP for this game is under the average level at 95.49%. Ultimately, this is even more disappointing as the maximum win is only 5,000x the stake compared to the usual 50,000x the stake that is found in Blueprint Gaming slots.
Whilst 5,000x the stake is not a bad amount, it's a poor amount when the RTP is under the average. Fish Upon A Cashpot also boasts of a medium volatility level leading to a mixture of high and low volatility wins which appeals to all types of slot players.
Surprisingly, Fish Upon A Cashpot actually looks fantastic and even plays quite decently. The overall presentation of the game is incredible which will certainly appeal to most players. Our only issue with the slot is the win potential which will certainly put off keen-eyed slot players.
Visually, this is easily the best-looking Wish Upon slot and is the perfect for beginners to try out the series. Just do not expect crazy big wins and you'll have the best time with this slot.
