Moon Princess Trinity Review
Ever since the original Moon Princess was released in 2018, the slot world has become completely enamoured with Love, Star and Storm. Ultimately, this led to a multitude of adventures such as Moon Princess 100 and Moon Princess Christmas Kingdom.
The gang is back for the next quest in Moon Princess Trinity. Every single princess returns with the amazing slot series along with multipliers, modifiers and bonus rounds! Get in on the girl power in Moon Princess Trinity.
Design
Thankfully, Play'n GO has opted for the traditional 2-D artwork instead of the horrendous one in Moon Princess Christmas Kingdom. The design is absolutely stunning with the anime style of the girls looking like Sailor Moon characters.
Sadly, the visuals are the same as the original Moon Princess. The symbols on the reels are exactly the same and the background is even similar. We were hopeful that Play'n GO would add at least add in something extra so this is quite disappointing.
Even the audio is exactly the same with light trance music played throughout accompanied by a piano. Of course, it fits in with the visuals but it's all something we've heard before which sums up this slot perfectly.
Gameplay
Fans of the series may be upset to find out that the gameplay feels like a stripped-down version of the original. Instead of adding in new mechanics, Play'n GO opted to remove the free spins round.
In this slot, you'll find the three modifiers with Love, Star and Storm and then the Trinity feature. That's literally all there is to this slot. So if you are wanting new gameplay in a grid slot, this is not the slot for you. Perhaps just stick to Moon Princess 100.
Win Potential
Just like the gameplay, the win potential is disappointing. The RTP is nothing spectacular but over the average standard of 96.20%. However, this is basically the standard for Play'n GO so it's not surprising.
The biggest disappointment is that this high volatility slot has a maximum win of 4,000x the stake. This is the lowest in the series and does not make sense. There are fewer features and an even smaller maximum win.
Our Verdict
Honestly, we are massive fans of the Moon Princess slot series at Slot Gods and were absolutely appalled by Moon Princess Trinity. The visuals are exactly the same as the previous game with no improvements and the gameplay is reduced compared to the other slots.
We couldn't even count on the maximum win being bigger! If this was the first slot in the series or a new game from a developer, then it would be excellent but it's all stuff we've seen before. Play'n GO definitely needs to do better with this series.
If you are wanting the most complete experience, go to Moon Princess 100 which has a massive maximum win and contains free spins. Only check out Moon Princess Trinity if you are a die-hard fan of the series wanting another dose of Love, Star and Storm.
