Winning symbols disappear with new ones joining the party and at this point, you could see wild symbols working a little harder than usual. As an ordinary wild symbol, they substitute for other regular payers but after a winning spin, they can select one of the regular symbols, make it expand and allow it to create a win anywhere on the reels.
This means that winning symbols don't need to form along adjacent reels and can just act as scatters. Only one of these Zeus Wilds can land per spin during the base game.
To play for free, you'll need three or four scatter symbols to hit during a spin. They can't land on the first or last reels and you'll get 8 or 12 free spins. The added benefit of being in this area is that you can now have two Zeus Wilds on the screen.
As they land in view and a winning combo is recorded, they trigger a symbol clone as before and the second one will upgrade the symbols to increase the payout.
It took me a few spins to see any big wins occur but before long, I picked up a 23x Mega win. Only one wild symbol seemed to be available for the majority of the time but he was holding up his end of the bargain during the bonus.
Eventually, I had three spins left and two Zeus Wilds turned up to get things started. Unfortunately, they limped away without putting up much of a fight. My final payout was 44x.
It is a lot of fun watching these reels create multiple payouts during one winning cascade but they won't always return the big bucks. I decided to give it another go and my final payout was 11x this time.

Admittedly, I had a fairly pitiful time during the bonus game and barely had enough for my bus ride home as the bonus game ended. On two occasions, it came out far less than the buy-in cost.
The base game might only have one wild symbol available but I found that this was true for the majority of the bonus game as well, so I didn't really feel the benefit. It's nice in a way that players won't feel the need to make it to the bonus game to hit decent wins as I think you're probably going to see some relatively attractive ones in the base game as well.
The volatility is very high but that's offset in some ways with a high hit rate, which means you should see lots of little wins here and there. It won't necessarily help your balance as you play but it will keep you entertained. The RTP is 95.69%.
Zeus resides, as you can imagine, up on high and strangely the clouds seem to be level with the Parthenon at this point. The reels are set into a large gold frame and lightning never ceases to strike the game area.
