If you've been missing The Wildos for the last couple of years, I bring great news for you today. These bandits created havoc with their sticky multipliers in the original adventure and this love of big wins makes a triumphant comeback today in the long-awaited sequel.
The max win has received a makeover and the feature set has grown but you will notice that the RTP took a bit of a beating during the design phase.
The Wildos 2 feels a lot like a grid slot when it arrives between these cartoon wagons. To the right, you have the luxury first-class travellers and to the left, is the jail where our bandits wait patiently to grab some loot.
Despite its grid-like appearance, you are working with 20 regular paylines and to pick up a prize, you're going to need combos made up of three, four or five symbols.
The card symbols deliver wins worth up to 2x for a 5-of-a-kind win, which is pretty decent. However, the lower end with a group of three matching symbols is only worth 0.2x and these are the ones you're going to see more often than not.
Moving up through the ranks, you have some picture symbols, which grab payouts up to 4x and then there are the three bandits or the Wildos, if you prefer, and these can pay up to 20x.
At any point during the base game, you might feel the benefits of the multiplier wilds – they only land on the central three reels and they come with different powers. The bronze ones pay up to 3x, the silvers deliver multipliers up to 8x and the gold ones will substitute for regular payers and pay up to x25 when part of a win. These figures can also be combined.
During the Bounty Poster feature, you might find multiple instances of wild multipliers arriving and up to five gold Wilds are considered the best outcome here.
Three scatter symbols trigger the bonus game and you now have a choice of gold, silver or bronze spins with 6, 9 or 12 free plays on offer. The more spins you get, the lower the multiplier values - that's the basic premise.
If one of the scatter symbols is a super bonus symbol, then you'll see all of the multipliers doing the rounds at some point. Wilds remain sticky throughout the bonus and should help pick up some big wins along the way.
The Bet+ option can make each spin two times or five times more likely to trigger the bonus games and these make each spin 0.5 or 3 times more expensive.

There are three special outcomes from the Bounty Poster feature. The green poster adds up to 4 wild multipliers worth between 1x and 3x. The blue poster gives you up to 5 silver wilds worth up to x8 and the red poster produces up to five gold wilds – these add up to 25x.
Three scatter symbols let you choose from bronze, silver, gold or random free spins. The difference is that bronze offers you 12 spins with lower value multipliers whereas gold gets you fewer spins with the bigger multipliers. If one of the scatter symbols is a super bonus symbol, you play the max number of spins with all wilds multipliers.
Picking up wild multipliers during the bonus game will help enhance your wins a lot but if your spins are like mine then you might be waiting around for a while to see any of these special symbols. Base game payouts didn't exceed 6x but the big gold multipliers are hiding in there somewhere.
I moved into this super bonus game to witness a range of sticky multipliers and I even had one of the x25 bad boys on my team! After a shaky start, I ended up with over 450x.
The high volatility acted exactly as I would have expected, so no major surprises there. The one stat that did catch my eye though was the RTP that’s been reduced to 94.19% since the original game in 2023.
There isn't a huge difference between this game and the last but you will probably notice that things have a slightly more modern edge and the graphics are a tad more refined. The animations are quite understated, but I don't mind that especially when the characters are cute enough in their own right without literally doing a song and dance for me.
The soundtrack doesn't really come to life until you make it out of the base game - during which you only get a few sound effects and a little light guitar in the background.
I’ve got no complaints and I was happy with the results on my Android mobile too.
Should you play The Wildos 2? That's the question you want answering and I've got to say, it's a definite yes! Base game wins weren't overly generous but they can prop your balance up quite nicely while you wait for the bonus games to arrive. If you see enough of those sticky multipliers turn up, then you never know how close to that 10,000x max win you might get.
