Let's start with the reels, which some might describe as a quirky mechanic. You have loads of different symbols in play with some earning you standard wins and others boosting future wins further down the line.

This is all thanks to the Big Buildup and what this does is add upgrades to the drums that sit above the reels. You can add additional instant prizes, multipliers and wilds that build up as you play.
If you see the Runaway Rhino feature trigger at any point, you'll get some of these add-ons landing on the reels. Multipliers only apply to wins that have been formed at this point so you're still not going to see those tiny payouts increasing by very much.
Admittedly, the instant cash prizes will be beneficial. There are also wild symbols that substitute for the regular paying symbols but again, I don't see how they're going to bring in any marvellous returns.
At this point I was still sceptical, until I triggered the bonus game, that is! What you have here is a kind of Sonic the Hedgehog setup with three lanes of special prizes that you can move between.
Using the arrows on the screen, you push the rhino in one direction or another to collect as many wins and special symbols as possible. The idea is to make it to the finish line before the time runs out.
It certainly does seem too good to be true with players being in control of how much they want to win simply by moving a rhino from left to right.
The catch is that the rhino isn't exactly responsive and it'll make its way slowly as you hit the arrows. Still, I had a couple of tries and the results were very good indeed! At one point, I grabbed over 300x whilst playing. No mention yet of any bonus purchase options.

Having said that, high volatility does mean that some of the drums could contain very interesting cash payouts. The hit rate is 25% or thereabouts, and the RTP is 96.10%.
The base game feels a little static, and that's for a very good reason – it is! You've got a grainy image of some trees and mountains in the background and a little blue sky to top it all off. You get a nice tribal beat which builds up as you enter the bonus game and at this point, you see some animation.
Naturally, if you're going to be moving a rhino around between three lanes of prizes, it'll need to physically shift its ass! It was difficult to move my cursor between the two arrows on a laptop so I gave it a go on my mobile phone instead – it's far easier to take more control of your prize-winning destiny that way.
It's a bold move from Crazy Tooth, giving players such freedom to grab as much cash as they want! However, some players won't like the unresponsiveness of the rhino and might feel like it isn't as realistic as they first thought.
