Pirots 2 Features
If you ever played the original Pirots slot, then you will know just how taxing the pay line structure can be at first glance. In fact, there are no pay lines and all wins are paid out thanks to the four coloured birds that land with each spin.
You will find that the majority of the grid is made up of Amber symbols and these come in 4 colours, matching those of the 4 birds. If a bird lands alongside, above or below a similarly coloured gem, it will move to collect it in a Pac-Man-style twist. It keeps moving along its trail until it can reach no more gems.
If the bird lands next to another bird, then they can swap places if the new bird can begin a gem-munching trail of its own. If 3 birds land next to each other, then you can pretty much blow this slot's mind and the birds will disappear and produce a complete re-drop.
Feature symbols
Other symbols that can appear include gem upgrades, dinosaur eggs, popcorn, dinosaur skulls and a big red button. Oh, and there is also a mushroom thrown in there for good measure.
The Upgrade symbols are fairly easy to explain and these can be collected in order to upgrade the value of the Amber symbols. There are 7 levels for these Amber symbols to make their way through—bringing much better wins as you progress.
Some upgrade symbols are multi-coloured and will upgrade the value of all amber gems and not just the ones matching the colour of the bird that collected it.
Gold coins can produce multiplier amounts and are applied to any wins that a bird collects. This might even be a max win coin symbol that will automatically pay out the 10,000x bounty. There are Wild symbols that can substitute for all other Amber symbols to help connect some more wins and the Popcorn symbol produces popcorn on the grid and allows the bird to make its way between any of the symbols that it wouldn't have been able to reach before.
The big red ‘don't press’ button orders a meteor strike and explodes the symbols to produce an expanded grid of 8x8. The eggs can be collected by the birds and will hatch into a dinosaur at the end of the round. This makes our 4 colourful birds fly away and the grid will, effectively, respin. Finally, we have the Mushroom symbols which transform a cluster of Amber symbols around a bird into those of the same colour so a win can commence.
The bonus game continues in much the same way and you can trigger this part of the production with the help of three dinosaur skulls. You get five free spins and any of the feature modifiers that can remain persistent will do so throughout these free spins. This includes the collection of Scatter symbols to help bring further free spins.
