Magawa picked up the PDSA gold medal in 2020 for his efforts in clearing the Cambodian minefields. You might not ordinarily feel an affiliation with a Tanzanian Pouched Rat, but this one is a little special. Using the cluster pays mechanic, wins are formed by collecting a minimum of five matching symbols that touch horizontally or vertically. For the lowest paying symbols, the maximum amount available is 200x and this comes courtesy of between 40 and 49 matching aces.
Picture symbols grow quickly as you make your way to the PDSA gold medal, which is worth 1,000x for the maximum group size. The wild symbols are our titular character and they feature on every spin.
Mystery mines are available throughout the base game and free spins and these are required alongside a wild symbol to trigger the Rat Run. Magawa makes his way to the nearest landmine and makes the area safe by producing mystery symbols. These create a group of matching symbols and a payout for your pocket. Two or more wild symbols with a landmine create a multiplier equivalent to the number of wilds on the screen.
Three scatter symbols are necessary to trigger the free spins game and now all of the landmines contain a multiplier worth between 2x and 10x. You might also get additional multipliers landing in the same sequence. Multipliers add together and this can create the big wins you were hoping for.

All throughout the base game and bonus game, I picked up some incredible wins and I was quite impressed with how this little fella can seek out the big combos. This was my first experience with the hero rat Magawa and after a little research, I'm pleased to say that the developers have been sympathetic while recreating his career! He looks extremely happy as he pops back up having uncovered another deadly device and triggers some mystery symbols as a result.
