Collect your coins and start a mini feature, or wait for ducks to appear and create a little havoc. The choice is yours, and you may even decide to buy your way directly into a super bonus game if you're in an area that permits such activity!
A regular win requires at least 5 matching symbols to form a cluster on the reels, and the biggest payout you can look forward to is 200x. Alongside these regular clusters, you'll notice the winning symbols disappearing and new ones joining the game, and if one of the 4 duck characters lands, you can see some enhancements. An increased global multiplier may occur, the symbol values might go up, some symbols can become wild, and symbol multipliers may also benefit your payouts.
The first bonus is a mini game that requires 20 coins to land, and when this happens, you see a 6x6 grid and all the reels start to spin. Each coin that lands will bring payouts, and chests will collect those values together.
The multipliers can be increased, and seaweed symbols are a little anticlimactic. Each time a special symbol lands, your 3 spins get renewed.
The free spins bonus is yours if 3 bonus symbols land, and you'll get 5 free spins. The grid is larger when this happens, and 4 symbol positions get reserved for the ducks. These modifiers remain persistent during the bonus game, and if one of the triggering symbols is a super bonus symbol, you play a more advanced version with all 4 ducks ready to improve the grid from the start.
As coins land, they are collected by the meter, and once you have 20 of these, you play a respins bonus. Each time a coin, a multiplier or a chest symbol lands, your 3 spins are renewed, and coin symbols will offer prizes as chest symbols collect them together.
You can grab 5 free spins when 3 scatter symbols land, and you'll now see the 8x8 grid providing 4 positions reserved for the duck characters. The ducks remain persistent once they get into position, and if you play the super version, the ducks will always be proudly presented in the reserved symbol places.
One of the slight downsides to hitting a great run of spins in this game is that it can take quite a while to watch all of the payouts be evaluated, but that's not a big problem when you're winning money, is it!? Even during the base game, I saw wins of over 20x, and those values were improved as I played the coin game and bonus game. Quackers is as cute as you can imagine, with sweet little characters working their magic across the grid. It's got an old-school gaming vibe with the retro beat and fun animations that take place continuously as you play. There's never a dull moment in this game, and despite the large grid size, mobile phones keep up quite nicely.
It's another successful creation from one of my favourite game developers, and I can't think of anything bad to say about Quackers. The modifiers are amusing and come with some interesting animations to keep you enthusiastic about the outcome, and there's enough bonus action taking place with potential to land big wins.
