Megaways Jack and the Magic Beans Review
Back in 2020, Megaways Jack was released at slot sites and became a surprise hit for Iron Dog Studio. Not only did the slot utilise the Megaways mechanic brilliantly, but the game featured dazzling visuals and exciting mechanics.
Thankfully, the sequel, Megaways Jack and the Magic Beans, looks to be doing the same. Just like the original, this slot plays on 6-reels with up to 117,649 ways to win but adds in new modifiers to enhance the gameplay as well as free spins. Join Jack on another journey in Megaways Jack and the Magic Beans.
Design
Similar to the previous slot, the background contains a vast green landscape with windmills and blue skies in the distance. There are vines alongside the reels showcasing the massive beanstalk from the fairytale.
Most of the characters on the reels are from the fairytale with the giant, Jack, his mother, the cow and the golden goose. The slot also contains symbols of magic beans as well as golden eggs. It feels extremely faithful to the fairytale which will appeal to fans of the original story.
The music is nothing overly special but fits in with the overall design of the slot. Ultimately, the slot delivers a wonderful fairytale design that matches the unique style of Iron Dog Studio.
Gameplay
The original Megaways Jack slot contains the free spins and harp feature. Sadly, this slot contains the exact same features but they have been enhanced slightly.
The harp delivers wilds, symbols, multipliers, extra spins and additional reels. Most of these are similar to the original but have been improved for a better slot experience.
With the free spins round, there is not a set amount that can be triggered as it's random every time. This game also features a bonus buy for non-UK players.
Win Potential
For the most part, the statistics on this slot are exactly the same as the original. However, the RTP does seem to be lower but only slightly. The original slot contained an RTP of 96.20% but Megaways Jack and the Magic Beans contains one at 96.14%. Both are decent amounts but it's quite frustrating that the original has a higher level.
The maximum win is at 25,000x the stake with a high volatility level. It's worth mentioning that this is identical to the original - but if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Our Verdict
Megaways Jack and the Magic Beans is quite the experience. There are definite improvements from the original - including better features and a more vibrant design.
Iron Dog Studio has done an excellent job with the sequel as it easily stands up against the original. For a magical experience filled with magic beans and wins, give Megaways Jack and the Magic Beans a spin.
