For anyone greedy enough to think that 4,096 ways to win is not sufficient, don't worry as this increases to 10,000 as you make your way to the main bonus game. Ordinarily, wins occur by landing matching symbols on adjacent reels starting with the first reel on the left. The lowest payers are the royal symbols with 1x available for a six-of-a-kind win, containing aces or kings. The four picture symbols have values up to 10x for six of the game's logo symbols.
Wild symbols can land and help create wins where possible but they'll only appear on the central five reels during the base game. In the Alien Attack Bonus, they'll also be on reels 1 and 6.
To appreciate the value of the Alien Attack Bonus, you'll need two of the Bonus symbols to land in view, and this will get the onboard computer into defence mode and start assessing the chances of an attack. If a threat is detected, you trigger the feature. Your Bonus symbols will convert into Wilds and your spaceship will fire lasers at various other symbols and convert them into Wilds as well.
If you are lucky enough to land at three or more Bonus symbols, then your reward is the Free Spins Bonus game. You begin by selecting from various planets in order to see how many spins you get, and then you watch an additional reel appear at the top of the screen.
You now have the extended number of win lines and any Wild symbols that land will make their way up to this reel. They remain active and sticky for the rest of the spins and if another one lands on the same reel, then a multiplier begins to grow.

I don't understand why everyone fears these aliens so much. Sure, they are a little green and their eyes are slightly bulbous, but when they come in peace and offer wins of up to nearly 15,000x, I'll happily sit down and have a cup of tea with them!
One of my favourite things about this production is the flying cow symbol which seems to have been sent haplessly into orbit. The customary space-focused sound effects keep the light-hearted feel flowing throughout and you can even tackle this one on your Android or iOS mobile device if you like.
The base game is a fairly standard affair but you do have the added benefit of two bonus symbols triggering that Alien Attack feature. This could provide not only a little extra entertainment, but some decent wins as well if those Wild symbols are planted in the right place. Players outside the UK can use the Premium Play option which activates the Space Wheel bonus. This allows them to take a spin on a special wheel when they grab a win of more than 1.6x. They might land free spins, increase their win or reduce their win to just 1x, so not a huge gamble overall. There’s also a gamble feature that probably won’t be unavailable in the UK as well, unfortunately. This is triggered as soon as a 5x bet is won and you get a chance to gamble the cash amount for more cash or some free spins.
For blasting your way through the various space junk and battling those fine features, you could walk away with 14,596x as a reward. Bear in mind that it's not only the intergalactic trash that will cause some turbulence and the high volatility may also set your balance off course as you wait for bigger wins. The RTP is a respectable 96.10%.
There's no denying that Invaders Takeover isn't one of the most sophisticated slot releases in recent times, but it has a certain charm and some fun features that will keep most slots fans entertained. I've got no problem with blasting Wild symbols all over the screen and if Light & Wonder want to stretch those reels beyond belief and provide thousands of paylines, then who am I to complain?
