Frozen Tropics Features
All of the excitement is due to the Frozen symbols and multiplier figures. But before we tackle this exciting duo, let's take a look at the regular pay line structure. There are 10 standard paying symbols with five fruits being the top payers and Card symbols making up the lower value offering. Scatter symbols will get you into the bonus game and also pay you a fantastic 100x for a matching set of 6. Wins are scored by landing matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from the left. There are 2,304 ways to win a prize.
Frozen symbols and Multipliers
Now, back to those Frozen symbols and Multipliers. Frozen Tropics works on a Cascading Reels format and this means that winning symbols are removed and new ones drop down into their place. Well, that's what it normally means. This time around, there are different levels which determine when a symbol will be replaced.
Level 3 symbols are completely frozen and they look like big ice cubes. All that happens to these when they form part of a winning combo is that they drop down to level two. Level 2 symbols are partly Frozen and these drop down to Level 1 symbols, which are completely unfrozen—melted?
When a Level 1 symbol gets caught up in the winning action, it will disappear and become part of this cascade and leave behind a Multiplier. This Global Multiplier will build up throughout the winning sequence and is applied to any subsequent wins. Unfortunately, it will reset once the wins finish.
Different multiplier values are applied, depending on which symbols land on which reels and this makes it a little complicated. All you need to worry about is the Wild symbol as it has the biggest Multiplier attached. When these explode on reels 2 and 5, it can leave behind a prize of up to 100x that gets added to the global pot.
The Free Spins Bonus benefits from all of the frozen action and now the Global Multiplier continues to grow throughout the feature. This is how the biggest wins will be created and if you're going to get anywhere close to the 9,000x max win, you'll need to pay a visit to this part of the production several times, I imagine.
