Tropicool 2 Features
Aside from the regular winning action on these cascading reels, watch out for Tony and Fiona symbols that will pay anywhere with 3 of them in view—they get a multiplier added which grows depending on the size of their symbol. Beyond that, there’s lots going on out there on the chilly island and we’ll take a look at those details now.
Depending on where you live, it might also be possible to take advantage of the X-citer feature to go straight to the best parts of the game.
Elmo can sometimes drop down from above when he's triggered as a 1x2 symbol. His job is to scare off any bird symbols, and in their place, he will leave wilds and locked wilds before triggering his own little feature. The reels continue to respin until Elmo moves one step at a time and leaves the end of the grid.
The Cool Reel
At the top of the screen, you will see the Cool Reel which is made up of three rows producing various feature symbols and ice cubes. When winning symbols are removed on the regular reels below, these feature symbols will drop down into place accordingly bringing wilds, locked wilds, mystery symbols and row swaps along with them.
You can trigger the bonus round by watching 3, 4, 5 or 6 bonus symbols land during the base game. You get up to 15 free drops with other symbols added to the Cool Reel at the top. Don’t worry if you think that a Free Drop feature sounds a little complicated; It’s similar to a free spins bonus with a different name.
The added symbols to the Cool Reel can bring you yet more free drops and multipliers as well.
Regular paying symbols that aren't Elmo, bonuses or birds can appear as 2x2 or 3x3 Big Symbols. These symbols will fall from the Cool Reel and demolish the other symbols below it until they reach the bottom of the grid. Feature Symbols won't be crushed by the Big Symbols and, instead, the Big Symbol will be forced to break down into smaller parts to make them fit.
