Similar to most other online slots, Aquanauts contains a feature called Rolling Reels which essentially acts like cascading reels or avalanches. When winning symbols are made, they are rolled out to make way for new ones.
The new symbols drop in but also award a multiplier starting at x1. Each new 'Rolling Reel' awards a multiplier that resets after each roll. However, during the free spins round, the multiplier does not reset in between spins.
