6 in the Chamber Review
Most slots are pretty rigid and what you see is what you get. However, that is not the case with 6 in the Chamber and this is a fully customizable game where you can make various choices to affect potential outcomes. Granted, most of this will not apply to players in the UK due to stake restrictions, but those lucky fans in other parts of the world will be able to feel the full benefits this slot has to offer.
Design
For such a clever math model and intriguing setup, the physical design feels like it is lagging behind ever so slightly. We love what the developers are trying to achieve but little things like the pistol movement and the ricocheting wild animations don't feel quite up to scratch. Don't get us wrong, it is still a good-looking game but it isn't quite up there with the likes of Money Train 2, perhaps. The soundtrack does a great job of bridging the gap between the futuristic/steampunk/Wild West elements and we love the little neon touches that help bring the production to life.
Game Play
It is hard not to fixate on the pistol-wielding hand in the bottom corner as you know it may start firing those Ricochet Wilds around at any moment. It's great that this is connected to the cascading win system as it makes every win potentially twice as enciting as you originally thought it would be.
As the gun continues firing, you might even start taking out some of those wanted posters and bring some extremely healthy wins to your balance. It is a shame that the most valuable part of the game is not available in the UK but you can still look forward to the two regular free spins options all the same.
Win Potential
So what is the maximum win potential in 6 in the Chamber? Well that all depends on where you live. Also, it depends on what type of free game you choose. It could be 20,000x, it could be 50,000x or it might even be 100,000x. Don't forget that the RTP will also vary slightly, depending on which part of the game you're in, and the volatility can also move around a little with the various feature rounds.
Our Verdict
It certainly is a far cry from some of the standard slot games that are doing the rounds these days and 6 in the Chamber will definitely stand out as a progressive piece of kit by anyone's standards. We imagine that other developers will sit up and take notice of this format with plenty of adaptations that could be incorporated.
Paul spent plenty of time in arcades up and down the UK discovering all of the best fruit machines and watching them grow into the incredible online slots we see today. He still loves the basic format but also has a soft spot for games with big bonus rounds that progress as you play. Immortal Romance is one of his favourite slots of all time.
