Scientific Games acquires Stockholm-based ELK Studios
SG Digital purchases a new studio to add to its portfolio
Veteran iGaming studio, Scientific Games (also known as SG Digital), has announced that it's acquiring a Stockholm-based development studio called ELK Studios. They have previously spent millions to purchase other talented slot developers such as WMS, Barcest, Bally and Nyx Gaming.
It was only in August 2021 that they purchased Lightning Box for an undisclosed sum as Scientific Games strengthens its iGaming content offering.
Who is ELK Studios?
Founded in 2013, ELK Studios is a developer with a focus on "quality over quantity' combining "groundbreaking mathematics with astonishing artwork, in order to deliver high-quality products".
They are famously known for online slots such as Book of Toro, Toro 7s, Wild Toro II along with a vast collection of titles.
