You have 40 pay lines to enjoy and these run across five reels and four rows. The way to win a prize in this dusty desert town is by matching groups of three or five royals or picture symbols. The royals can produce wins worth up to 12x and the picture symbols top out at 25x. The gold bars are unsurprisingly the most valuable of the symbols.
Extra wins are available here thanks to some modifications during the base game and bonus game. It's all about multipliers, wilds and an enormous tongue belonging to the town's sheriff, who seems to be a chameleon!
Wild symbols don't land on the first or last reel but they can have multiplier figures applied to them. If more than one of these multipliers lands at the same time, the values are added together to create even bigger wins.
Multiplier values range from 5x to 500x. If the chameleon takes a walk across the top of the reels, he might stop above a wild symbol and then his huge tongue will come down to expand the wild symbol and any multiplier along the reel. This can only happen on reels 2, 3 or 4. Once the win has passed, the multiplier disappears. But it's a little different during the free spins bonus.

The expanding wild symbols continue to roam across reels 2, 3 and 4 during the game and the multiplier symbols don't reset for the entire feature. With each spin, he moves to a different place and if a wild symbol appears on the reel below him, his tongue will come down out and stretch the wild to cover the entire reel. This little chameleon is a tease! You never know where he's going to stop or whether or not a wild symbol will appear below him. However, when he does start to work his magic, the results can be a little slimy but worthwhile all the same. The max win seems quite realistic at 6,000x when you consider that some of the multipliers can grow to 500x and during the bonus game, they just keep on heading in the right direction. The volatility is very high so don't be surprised to see your balance take a bit of a hit as you wait for a big win.
The most catching part of the game's design is the animated tongue, which probably won't come as any surprise. As it expands, it can be a little gross and during the free spins bonus, it stays extended with some tumbleweed caught in the end! The banjo soundtrack is perfectly fitting for the canyon scene and you get to watch the tumbleweed make its way across the bottom of the screen as you play.
