The Expendables Megaways Review
In 2010, Sylvester Stallone decided to bring back the glory days of action heroes and created The Expendables. This film brought together Stallone, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger together for a one-of-a-kind movie. Well, it was one-of-a-kind until the success of the movie led to a huge movie franchise.
The series was so popular that Stakelogic decided to obtain the rights to release a branded slot called The Expendables Megaways. This slot follows the first film and brings in everyone’s favourite action stars in a special slot filled with features and huge wins.
Design
As the slot opens up, it’s clear that the game is set in Tool’s garage. The background is a blue tone and showcases various motorbikes and gadgets. Sadly, the background is lacking animation and feels quite generic for Stakelogic.
Thankfully, all the symbols on the reels are characters from the film. Stallone, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Terry Crewes are all symbols on the reels that animate after wins. The music throughout the slot is quite generic but it sounds similar to the actual theme from the film so it doesn’t feel out of place.
Gameplay
Stakelogic could’ve easily skimped on the gameplay throughout this slot as it’s a branded slot - but there are loads going on with Megaways, multipliers, free spins and so much more. Thankfully, none of the features are overly complicated making this slot easy to play.
The right side of the screen contains the spin button and Super Stake, whilst the bottom of the reels contains the bet level. Any other additional menus can be found on the left side of the screen.
Win Potential
Many branded slots are expected to have terrible win potentials with low RTPs and ridiculous maximum wins that just aren’t worth it. That is not the case with The Expendables Megaways as this slot features a solid RTP of 96.02% and a maximum win of 20,000x the stake.
This high volatility slot can gain the big wins of up to 20,000x the stake through the free spin round with the unlimited multipliers. The maximum win for this slot is brilliant and could easily be one of the best ones for a branded slot.
Our Verdict
Whilst the design could easily be better, the rest of The Expendables Megaways is phenomenal. The slot stays faithful to the films with accurate depictions of the characters and manages to stay in tone with the films as well in terms of the design.
There are loads of features guaranteed to keep players entertained as well as an epic win potential that does the film series justice. Fans of the film should definitely check out this slot and we urge other slot enthusiasts to give this slot a go as it completely defies all expectations for a branded slot.
