Design
When the slot opens up, you'll find yourself in a spooky lab with a weird contraption at the front along with a mad scientist and a hunchback sidekick. The mad scientist is old with grey balding hair along with a moustache and yellow rubber gloves.
Next to the scientist, you'll find the hunchback who is green and grotesque looking definitely fitting into the overall tone of the slot. In the middle of the screen, you'll find the contraption with pipes making gold.
There are slight animations in the distance giving the slot even more life and making it worth spinning. As for music, there's a soft track in the distance paired with the noises of the machine and the scientist.
Gameplay
The gameplay of this slot is quite unusual with no traditional paylines or symbols to match together. You are aiming to connect the middle three pipes with one of the multipliers leading to wins.
All the relevant buttons are at the bottom of the screen with the spin button, bet level and further information if you are needing it.
Win Potential
Sadly, the RTP isn't at the average standard as it's a little under with 95.60% - but it's not too low to make it unplayable. There is a medium volatility level in this slot leading to a mixture of high and low volatility wins - but we found it leaned more towards the low volatility side.
As for a maximum win, we couldn't find anything directly but saw that the multipliers can lead you to win up to 100x your stake - which is quite low for an online slot. It's nothing terrible with the bet levels, but compared to other slots it's lower than we'd expect. However, we found the slot quite rewarding during our playthrough and triggered decent wins fairly often.
Our Verdict
There is definitely nothing else like this slot out there and that is an achievement in itself with the huge iGaming industry. During our playthrough, we found Mr. Alchemister a delight to play and intriguing at times.
The design is befitting for Lady Luck Games and the gameplay is fresh with the only downside really being the low win potential. However, it wasn't too offputting and we found ourselves going back to the slot after we'd finished because it was just so fun to play and see the pipes match up.
