Hacksaw Gaming creates a jackpot slot? That's unheard of but I'm certainly not complaining! It seems fitting that these huge prize tokens make an appearance along with Smokey, one of our favourite slot characters in recent times. After travelling around the world on various trips, he's got a suspicious mind and wants to know what it's like to be The King for a day. All of the elements are in place for a payout fit for royalty and some fun modifications that should set this slot apart from the rest of the pack.
This adventure takes place on a 6x5 grid with loads of added extras to keep you amused and hopefully your balance bolstered while you play. This game uses a cluster pays mechanic, so matching symbols need to touch horizontally or vertically to land the prize.
A minimum of five matching icons is required and the best you can hope for with this small group is 1x. The top prize for 12 or more roulette symbols is 25x. These payouts are quite small but they aren’t really why you are here.
It's all about the golden squares and these come into play when a win is recorded. The golden square sits behind the previously removed winning symbols and if a rainbow symbol lands as well, you'll start to see something magical unravel.
The golden squares could reveal bronze, silver or gold coins with values worth up to 500x or they might produce clovers which multiply the existing coins and treasure pots. You could see everything boosted by up to 20x.
Treasure pot symbols collect the coin values and make space for new coins to appear. The cherry on top of this cake is the jackpot marker which could produce a max win worth up to 20,000x if it's collected by the rainbow mechanic.
The first of three bonus games brings you 10 free spins and requires 3 FS scatter symbols to trigger. The standard mechanic keeps going but all gold squares are progressive and stay there until a rainbow activates them.
The second free spins bonus offers the same number of spins but requires four scatter symbols. Everything is the same but the golden squares stay where they are until the end of the bonus even if they are activated.
The holy grail arrives with five scatter symbols and you get all of the above plus an additional rainbow guaranteed with every spin. In addition, after the coins are revealed, you'll notice that they are only ever silver or gold.

Le King has win potential - there's no doubt about it! The basic symbols offer quite pitiful results but after triggering one of these tiny payouts, you've always got a chance of seeing the gold squares work their magic. It makes every little win exciting and potentially valuable at the same time. There's a real chance that the 20,000x max win could fall not only due to the jackpot tokens but also thanks to the bonus games and their ability to hold special symbols in place.
As you would expect, Le King sees this feisty raccoon disguise himself as the king of rock and roll with lots of Vegas details providing the backdrop. Smokey continues to scratch his backside but in this version, he uses his own microphone! The soundtrack is very close to an Elvis original but it’s just slightly different to probably avoid any copyright infringement. It's a fantastic-looking slot and it even looks great on small mobile screens as well.
Le King brings together various elements of other slots from Smokey’s travels and a couple of other Hacksaw games as well outside this mini series. It pulls them all together perfectly and makes this game one of my favourite Hacksaw creations yet.
