Jurassic Park Remastered Review
In 2014, Microgaming decided to finally give Jurassic Park home in regards to online slots. There's no denying that this Jurassic Park slot was one of the first branded slots that actually delivered. Almost 7 years later, they've decided to give it an upgrade and remaster the slot almost 28 years after the film released.
Jurassic Park Remastered is a TV/Movie slot that plays on 5-reels with 243 ways to win. There are 5 different free spin options to help you throughout your playthrough as well as appearances from all your favourite characters and dinosaurs.
A huge improvement from the original slot sees an actual animated background that takes you through Jurassic Park. On top of that, the design of the characters and creatures on the reels is more polished with even more detail so it's easy to distinguish who they are. Similarly, when you land specific characters in a win, then an animated clip from the film plays to give the slot even more life.
The symbols on the reels feature John Hammond (played by Richard Attenborough), Dr Ellie Sattler (played by Laura Dern), Dr Alan Grant (played by Sam Neill) and everyone's favourite Dr Ian Malcolm (played by the loveable weirdo Jeff Goldblum). Thankfully, the creatures on the reels are actual dinosaur designs from the film which makes it feel more like an actually branded slot rather than a cheap cash grab.
Throughout spins, there is a soft score playing in the background that sounds familiar to John Williams' theme. During wins, the full Jurassic Park theme plays and it sounds fantastic. Amazingly, there are more ambient noises to build up the atmosphere and intensity instead of sounds of dinosaurs and eerie things happening in the distance. It all feels on-brand for Jurassic Park and is generally pleasing to play.
In terms of gameplay, there's nothing unconventional about this slot as the gameplay remains similar to the original 2014 slot. The reels spin and then you hope to win - that's all you really need to know for this slot. All the needed menus can be found on the right side of the screen with the spin button in the middle. Underneath this, you can see the autospins and bet levels along with any other menus needed.
Jurassic Park Remastered is a medium volatility slot with a solid RTP of 96.67%. Sadly, the maximum win only goes up to 6,333x your stake - which can be triggered through the free spins round with the highest multipliers.
Aside from the graphics, little has changed for Jurassic Park Remastered - but that's not what the developers were going for. The slot is smoother to run and now accessible to even more fans of the series. Naturally, if you love the movies, then it's a no brainer to check out this slot. Sure, the maximum win isn't anything special but it's an acceptable amount.
This slot definitely looks better than Jurassic World but could've done with combining the win potential with that slot. If you loved the original or just love the series, then definitely give this slot a spin.
