The game begins with four reels in play and each row is a different height. Don't pay too much attention to the number of symbols as this can continue changing throughout the game thanks to xSplit Wilds. As this modifier arrives, it changes the number of winways by splitting itself and everything to the left and right in half and this is how the maximum 614,656 paylines can be achieved.

The Wish Upon a Star option will increase your base bet by 50% and will guarantee a Scatter symbol on the second real.
Three or more Scatter symbols unlock the Free Spins games and there are three different stages to this, depending on how many Scatter symbols you land. It's also possible to buy straight into any one of the bonuses if you live outside the UK and are in an area that permits it.

You couldn't ask for a more depressing Christmas setup with the characters and presents all having a slightly grey sheen. The decorations outlining the reels are bright enough but they only really exist to give a pop of colour to the game. The overall feeling is slightly sad and this is matched by the music that sounds like the batteries are running out on an old Walkman. This developer isn't known for its bright and cheery outlook, so you have to share in their misery if you're going to enjoy this one!
All of the various ‘x’ modifiers make the Base game fun and at times a little manic as those symbols start splitting and Wilds begin to stack across the reels.
