Brides of Dracula Hold & Win Review
The infamous Twisted Tales series returns with its scary slot yet with Brides of Dracula Hold & Win. Developed by iSoftBet, this horror slot plays on 5-reels with 25 paylines along with medium to high volatility gameplay.
As the name suggests, this slot features the Hold & Win mechanic which resets with each scatter along with further bonuses. On top of that, you have modifiers to help you gain wins and help the Brides dispose of Van Helsing once and for all!
Design
iSoftBet has a high standard when it comes to design and thankfully this slot does not disappoint. It fits within the art style of the rest of the Twisted Tales slots in crisp and well-animated characters.
When it comes to the setting, it's eerie and dark to showcase the Transylvania that everyone knows and fears. Alongside the dark background, you have various red eyes in the distance along with bats to keep the atmosphere creepy.
During the respin section, you are transported into the castle where it all begins to kick off. It's beautifully decorated but still sinister looking with flashes of lightning in the background.
In terms of music, it's exactly what you'd expect with a huge organ playing score. To add to the ambience, there's screaming and other noises in the background making it even more enjoyable.
Gameplay
Unlike the rest of the Twisted Tales slots, this one does not contain the Megaways. Brides of Dracula Hold & Win plays on 5-reels with 25 paylines and features a simplistic style of gameplay. However, this does not mean that it's dull as the Hold & Win feature combined with the multipliers is a fantastic mechanic.
As for the menus, you can find everything on either side of the reels. The spin button, autospin and bet level are just to the right of the reels, whilst the paytable and additional settings can be found on the left-hand side.
Win Potential
This slot has a medium to high volatility level that leans more towards the higher side in terms of wins. As for the RTP, sadly it's at a mediocre 95.50% which is under the average standard. Our general rule of thumb is that an RTP level under 96% is acceptable with a jackpot or a huge maximum payout.
Sadly, the maximum payout isn't huge and can only reach up to 6,000x your stake through the multipliers during the Hold & Win feature. Now, this isn't a bad amount, but we'd expect the RTP to compensate by being at least 96%.
Our Verdict
In terms of the gameplay, design and overall features - we have no complaints with this game. Brides of Dracula Hold & Win is thoroughly entertaining and it looks absolutely stunning at times - you'll feel like you've been transported to Translyvania.
The only negative is the win potential as the low RTP is always disappointing and we expected a bigger payout as the rest of this series has unbelievable wins. However, don't let this put you off too much as the game is still rewarding at times and is just so fun to play. For a horror slot full of charm and engaging mechanics, give Brides of Dracula Hold & Win a go!
