Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle Review
It's not every day that you can journey into a creepy castle full of mysterious creatures, but Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle finally gives you the chance. Developed by Thunderkick, this 5-reel, 25 payline slot gives you the chance to win up to 25,000x your stake.
Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle is a horror slot that has a huge array of features that includes 2 different bonus games, multipliers and massive symbols. Make sure that you've got your garlic and wooden stake ready so that you can face the vampires head on whilst obtaining their hidden treasures.
Design
Set in a gothic castle, this slot sets the tone for a horror slot. There are stained glass windows mixed with candles lit all around the castle. It presents a luxurious castle but highlights how old fashioned the castle is.
Obviously, the addition of vampires and creepy gothic imagery cement the horror. Most of the symbols are typical scary images such as gargoyles, bats, wolves and of course the vampires themselves. When you land on symbols, they animate to a creepier symbol which just adds to the horror factor.
As expected in the music, there is a traditional score playing of violins and pianos. It creates an eerie atmosphere and mixes well with the ambient noises such as bells and screams. Thankfully, it's not too terrifying but does create the perfect atmosphere for the slot.
Gameplay
Whilst the gameplay may look spooky, it's straightforward with no complications. All you need to know how to do is set your bet and spin.
Any menus can be found at the bottom with the spin button to the right with the autospin. To the far left, you'll notice all the other menus such as sound settings and the payline.
Win Potential
As a high volatility slot with an RTP of 96.07% - you'd expect the payout to be decent. Thankfully, the maximum payout is 25,000x your stake which can be won throughout the Crimson Cash bonus round. During this bonus round, you can win multipliers and free spins which can lead you to win up to 25,000x your stake.
Our Verdict
Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle may have a solid decent which is fantastic - but it's a little bit of a letdown compare to Thunderkick's other slots. The design is brilliant but nothing extraordinary. Perhaps if they did something like with Esqueleto Explosivo with the ingenious slot design, then we'd be more impressed.
That being said, this slot is a fun ride and definitely worth a spin. The gameplay isn't anything earth-shattering, but it's engaging enough for some solid gameplay. Make sure to check out Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle!
