Templar Tumble 2: Dream Drop Review
The iGaming world was shaken up when Relax Gaming released Templar Tumble. As the fourth instalment in the Tumble slot series, this game had a lot to live up to but manages to deliver a unique medieval setting that soon became a fan-favourite at slot sites.
After the success of the first game, Relax Gaming decided it was time to give the slot a Dream Drop makeover. This is how the world found Templar Tumble 2: Dream Drop. Just like the original, this game plays on 6-reels with 117,649 ways to win - but adds in mystery reveals, marked symbols, free spins and the mighty progressive jackpot.
Design
If you loved the design of the original, then you will love the design in this one. The graphics are enhanced and the scope of the slot has gotten even bigger. On either side of the reels, are two statues of knights with giant swords.
In the distance, there is a church surrounding the reels with stained glass panels letting in glimmers of light. The main reels are surrounded by a gate that looks like one that you would find in a medieval church.
All the symbols on the reels relate back to the slot with lions, eagles and helmets showcasing the strength of knights. When the free spins round is triggered, the gate opens to showcase a golden treasure trove filled with valuables.
The music is definitely what you'd expect with a grand score playing throughout with drums, guitars and violins creating something epic. It's clear what the vision was from Relax Gaming and they completely delivered.
Gameplay
As previously mentioned, there are 117,649 ways to win throughout this slot as well as free spins, multipliers and mystery symbols. Whilst there is the Dream Drop Jackpot, not everything in this slot relies on that and there are exciting moments throughout the game as well.
Anyone who has played a Relax Gaming slot will know that all the menus can be found at the bottom of the screen. The spin button, bet level and general settings can be found here.
Win Potential
The main draw to this slot is the Dream Drop Jackpot which can award one of five jackpots. Thankfully, there is more going on throughout the slot with a base game maximum win of up to 20,000x the stake.
With a high volatility level, players will find bigger wins in this slot but they will be less frequent. In addition to this, there is an RTP of 94% which is lower than the average slot - but acceptable when the slot is a jackpot or branded.
Our Verdict
The original Templar Tumble is a fan-favourite but struggles to hold up when compared to more modern online slots. Thankfully, Templar Tumble 2: Dream Drop makes up for this with intriguing gameplay paired with a wonderful design.
Many would expect Relax Gaming to just rely on the Dream Drop Jackpot, but that is definitely not the case. Templar Tumble 2 perfectly shows how to create a sequel that improves upon everything from the original without ruining what made the first game so special.
