There’s something really hypnotic about the surrounding cogs spinning in tandem with the reels. Everything is well-animated and beautifully rendered. The whimsical, somewhat creepy music is right out of a Tim Burton film. It’s very easy to listen to.
Even though there’s a good range of features, the base game is quite simple. Regardless of what you land or trigger, you’ll never have any problems following the action. The game is nicely optimised for mobile, too.
Given its simplicity, I wasn’t expecting much from Peter & Sons's Steamworks. I was pleasantly surprised, however. This is a fun, dare I say relaxing, slot to play. It’s great to look at, and despite its simple base game mechanics, it’s highly engaging.
