Wild symbols always come in handy and in Serpent Cage, they can deliver some interesting results. They appear in groups ranging from 1x1 up to 5x5 and they land anywhere on the grid. During the base game, the multiplier can grow up to 5x and all of the sections of this wild group have the same figure. Multiplier wilds can appear on the same line and offer you payouts worth up to 10x for a group of five.

The free spins game requires three standard scatter symbols and in return, you get six free plays. The wild snake cages can be quite useful when they land in the right place but in my experience, they were always over to the right-hand side. However, if you see that group grow to 5x5 and discover 10x multipliers during the bonus game, then I imagine you could be a very happy player indeed. For me, the respins bonus was the standout moment with the collector symbols taking on some large instant cash coins. If you can get things moving in this department, you could be on your way to the game’s 5,000x max win.
Serpent Cage is sadly lacking in the design department. When you first look, you think it's quite a nice dungeon setup but when you stop and consider the animations for a little while, you realise that everything is quite rudimentary. The soundtrack is quite underwhelming as well. It doesn't look bad but you just get the impression that this was an easy one to put together for one of the junior designers.
Serpent Cage has some nice ideas but It suffers from its own high volatility. If you could make use of the snake cages more often and trigger the bonus games with a higher frequency, then all of this could seem quite exciting but I found it to be quite a hard slog. However, this is a slot and there's always a chance you could hit this spin button and witness all of the features and modifications within a few spins, so it's got to be worth a chance.
