Rabbit Royale Review
The more we review ELK Studios slots, the more we’re convinced that the crew behind the games are a bit unhinged! You can always count on them to produce uniquely-themed games with a wealth of great features and fun extras.
Design
Rabbit Royale is a triumph in the design department. From the mutated army of bunnies to the creepy farmyard backdrop, the animations and graphics in this game are second to none.
The most interesting symbols are of course the crazy rabbits, including one that is half rabbit/half Terminator-esque cyborg machine. But the other symbols have not been forgotten about.
The highest-paying symbols are the cleaver-wielding old woman and the maniacal farmer. But there are also some rabbit traps, tractors, post boxes, sewing machines and rabbit poison to pick up as well.
The soundtrack is just about as crazy as the theme of this game. It starts out as just the sound of some crickets and birds chirping in the distance. But things start to get a bit more ‘off the wall’ as the game progresses. Sounds such as static from walkie-talkies and Animaniac-style bursts of cartoon effects punctuate the previously serene atmosphere and the game starts to sound a little more like the insane blend of ideas that it is.
Game Play
Just like the game’s soundtrack, the Rabbit Royale game starts off rather generically. But give it a few spins and you’ll start to get into the off-beat rhythm of this slot's title. With 5 reels and 5 rows, you can enjoy connecting symbols and a very impressive 259 pay lines. Not to mention, as soon as the carrot and rabbit symbols make an appearance, this game kicks things up a notch.
The craziest round, as predicted, is the Bonus Game. And if you can get the rabbits to attack one another as you trigger the Super Collect, then you’ll get to see this game in all of its insane glory!
Win Potential
With high volatility and a below-average RTP of 94%, Rabbit Royale will probably have you waiting around for a while before you land a decent win.
That said, with so many special symbols and features, along with a very tempting 25,000x top prize, the spoils of war in this game could be absolutely epic.
Plus, the game is so much fun, you’ll enjoy a great gaming session while you wait for what could be a fantastic win.
Our Verdict
If you’ve read any of our other ELK Studios reviews, you’ll know that we have a bit of a soft spot for their slots. And Rabbit Royale is another great release from this genuinely impressive developer.
The animations are absolutely fantastic, and the theme is a dark twist on the popular cute animal genre. The developer has shown us once again that they are not shy when it comes to adding in special features and a great max win.
Guess we’ll have to chalk this one up as yet another smash-hit slot from master game-makers, ELK Studios.
Paul spent plenty of time in arcades up and down the UK discovering all of the best fruit machines and watching them grow into the incredible online slots we see today. He still loves the basic format but also has a soft spot for games with big bonus rounds that progress as you play. Immortal Romance is one of his favourite slots of all time.
