Quackin' Reels comes with 3 reels, 3 rows and just 5 paylines. There are 6 regular symbols - the 3 lowest paying are the bottle of whiskey, the AK-47 and the quad bike, followed by your 3 bird-brained rednecks.
There's also a multiplier in the form of a ‘Token’ symbol that, if it lands in every position on a payline, the sum of all token symbols gets multiplied by the bet amount. So far, not the most interesting or dynamic game I've ever seen, but the Token symbols can award up to 100x, which is not to be sniffed at!
However, things get a bit more interesting with the Respins and Multiplier Respins features.
Landing a stack of the same symbol on a reel will trigger the Respins feature, and during this round, the triggering symbols remain sticky. Respins continue as long as you keep landing more of the same symbol.
To get into the Multiplier Respins feature, you need to fill all positions with the same symbol at the end of the Respins feature. Once you’re in the Multiplier Respins round, you can find multipliers which are all added up at the end of the round.
There isn't a free spins round, but these respins features give your gameplay a bit of a boost.
Land a stack of 3 of the same symbols to activate the Respins feature! Here, the triggering symbols plus any of the same symbols become sticky and lock in place for the feature. Respins continue as long as more of the same symbols land on the reels.
If at the end of a Respins feature, all positions are filled with the same symbol, the Multiplier Respins feature activates. Now, multiplier symbols land on the reels. If a new multiplier symbol lands, another respin is awarded.
Quackin' Reels is certainly an odd one. With just 3 reels, 3 rows and 5 paylines, it doesn't look like there's an awful lot of winning potential at first glance. However, with the Token symbols awarding multipliers, 2 Respin features and a top prize of 10,000x, this title by Relax Gaming does offer more opportunity to win than I originally thought.
For a game like this, I would have expected medium volatility, however, Relax Gaming seems to have gone in at a high level, meaning you'll be waiting around for those big wins to come your way. The RTP is a very average 96.10%.
The design of this game looks like the team at Relax were having a few beers when they came up with the concept. I like an unusual slot, so I was very pleased by the odd theme of ducks getting absolutely plastered out in a yard, with beers, whiskey and quad biking all on the agenda!
I was slightly taken aback by the addition of an AK-47 and ammo, but when you see the American flag and the beer bellies on these ducks, you kind of get what the studio was going for here. The music is a very typical banjo-inspired soundtrack, and the overall American redneck vibe is very apparent. The three main duck characters are fun, and the animations have been done very well.
I'm not quite sure where to start with Quackin' Reels! I wasn't overly impressed with the mechanics, with a 3x3 game board and only 5 paylines, but the Respins and Multiplier Respins features go some way to making up for this.
The RTP is distinctly average, and with high volatility and very basic gameplay, I'm not sure if this slot will keep you very entertained for long enough to land a big win.

As I said, there's been very little shared with the media about this game and I've only had a couple of tiny peeks into what this slot has in store.
