Misery Mining Review
As a soft sequel to Fire in the Hole, Nolimit City decided to bring back everyone's favourite miner back with Misery Mining. The game is played on a 7x7 grid with up to 823,543 ways to win in this high volatility slot.
Throughout the game, you'll find Mouse Free Spins, Rat Respins, xBombs, multipliers as well as a huge maximum win reaching up to 70,000x your stake in true Nolimit City style.
Design
The design of Misery Mining continues to be grim in the Nolimit City but aside from that, there is nothing that really makes the slot stand out in visuals. Honestly, the overall tone and design are quite dark on the eyes and some people may struggle to see what is going on.
All the symbols related to a drunken miner and the disgusting depths with rats, alcohol, smoking pipes and of course the miner himself. The sounds of explosions fit in well and strangely there is an adventure track playing in the distance building up the suspense for the slot. Whilst, there is nothing bad about this slot, we expected a little more from Nolimit City.
Gameplay
As mentioned previously, the slot plays on a grid of 7x7 but there are sections shut off that need to be cleared to expand the full ways to win. There are standard mechanics in this slot that are just expected for Nolimit City, but thankfully this game isn't too complicated.
The right side of the screen has the spin button, whilst the bet level can be found to the left of the reel with the leaderboard and other settings.
Win Potential
Thankfully, the win potential for this slot is pretty decent with an RTP of 96.09% and a high volatility level leading to larger wins but less frequently.
There is even a huge win of up to 70,000x your stake that can be achieved through the Misery Free Spins rounds.
Our Verdict
Misery Mining is definitely capitalising on the popular mining theme but it manages to deliver with entertaining gameplay that feels like the perfect balance of easy and intense. This isn't the best Nolimit City slot yet, but it's still a fantastic game that fans of the developers will absolutely love.
