Mine & Melt Review
What you get with Quickspin's Mine & Melt is quite a basic setup. Apart from the clever bonus round, there are only stacked wilds that offer any deviation from regular wins. If you are in the mood for some good ol’ fashioned spin button bashing, then this high-volatility slot could prove very fruitful.
Design
The 4x4 grid is set onto a typical mountain backdrop with the goldmine waiting below for your arrival. The gold bonus symbols shimmer in anticipation and when 3 or 4 of them turn up, the setting changes and the typical banjo loop kicks it up a notch.
You will now get 3 golden lights representing your free spins and the dark tunnel is where you will call home for the next couple of minutes. The graphics are fairly limited but crisp and clear at the same time. Moreover, you won't experience any loss of quality if you decide to play Mine & Melt on your mobile.
Gameplay
The 3 lucky Swedes will keep you company from time to time. And landing 1 of these stacked wilds with a multiplier is an exciting prospect that helps break up the base game monotony somewhat. However, they are a little elusive.
Also, be prepared to spend a bit of time waiting for the gold nuggets to turn up to distract you and take you away to the bonus round. While it may not be the most exciting slot out there, it doesn't take much brain power to work out what's going on. It's easy to relax and settle into the game.
Win Potential
The winning potential in this game isn't the highest for a high-volatility slot. The max payout is 5,504x stake and this figure may potentially be reached during the super bonus round. The RTP is at 96.09% giving the house a 3.91% edge.
Our Verdict
If you are looking for an action-packed slot with loads of features, then Mine & Melt may not be the game for you.
That said, it does offer some decent prizes and if you manage to trigger the bonus round, then there is no saying what might happen. It is a good effort and should hold your attention for a little while. It's certainly worth giving it a go!
