The whole game is based heavily on the cash collect system. And the main problem is that it will only land on the 5th reel during the base game.

So unless that happens, you will have to be content with the smaller prizes represented by the royal symbols and a few football-themed icons. However, we found that getting into the free spins bonus round was certainly worth the wait.

Design

The backdrop to Football Cash Collect is a packed football stadium with a samba-beat soundtrack and occasional cheers to accompany the feature triggers.

The 5x3 grid itself is nothing out of the ordinary and Playtech doesn't try to integrate the game board into the setting on any of the cash collect games.

You won't find any incredible animated touches that bring the board to life during the base game or the free spins round. And the game symbols aren't works of art either. It's all about the big prize action and the rest is kind of secondary.

Gameplay

It does take a moment to get your head around the concept of the cash collect system. But as long as you keep in mind that the cash collect symbol on reel number 5 is the most important element of this game, then you can't go far wrong.

You can make standard adjustments to your bet totals. And for players outside the UK, there is an auto spin and turbo feature as well.

Our Verdict

If you’ve played one of the Cash Collect titles before, then you’ll know exactly what you’re getting. The theme is different but the general gameplay is much the same.

It would have been nice to see some new additions to the overall production but it’s still a decent slot with plenty of big wins available.
