Everest Avalanche should be quite an easy creation to get your head around and I doubt you'll have too many questions when you’re finished! You've got five reels and three rows all presenting classic fruit machine symbols. Those symbols are joined by some royals which are the lowest paying of the bunch.
You can expect a maximum of 1.5x for a group of five aces. The lowest payout comes courtesy of the Jack which pays 0.20x for a group of three.
Bell symbols will pay between 0.5x and 2.25x for combo wins. A set of bar symbols can pay between 0.75x and 3x whilst the crispy cold stars pay a maximum of 4.5x. The best payers are the three red sevens with wins worth 2x, 4x or 12.5x for a group of three, four or five respectively.
Wild symbols will substitute for the other regular payers mentioned before and if you get a group of five of these, you'll see a 25x payout.
Without a bonus game, there needed to be a pretty handy feature installed to keep the players happy and what you have here is a multiplier ladder to help boost your wins.
After the first winning combo is collected, those symbols disappear and new ones tumble into place. Originally, your win is multiplied by 1 but you will unlock the x2 multiplier. On the second tumble, you get the x2 multiplier applied to your wins and you unlock an x3, x4 or x5 multiplier. The third tumble then applies that previous multiplier and unlocks the next x1 boost.
With the fourth tumble, you receive the x1 multiplier from before and unlock an extra increase worth between x10 and x50. Naturally, wins from then on will pick up the previous multipliers and you should start seeing the big payouts begin to fall.
To remove the third x1 multiplier and make it easier to hit your target of big wins you can pay the 1.25x ante bet.
After your first win, you unlock an x2 multiplier which applies to your next win. The second tumble unlocks another boost between 3x and 5x which applies to your third win. An extra 1x is unlocked at this point and the fourth tumble unlocks a larger increment worth between 10x and 50x. Any subsequent tumbles will be multiplied by your previous multipliers.
Grabbing the big bucks in this game is all dependent on those increasing multiplier figures – without them, you're going to struggle. If you manage to unlock anything close to an x50 boost and watch your winning tumbles continue, then you could start dreaming about the 2,500x max win.
Unfortunately, my spins weren't quite so fruitful and the best I managed were smaller wins of around 5x. The volatility level is high, so you can expect to see the occasional large payout. The RTP is 95%.
This is Everest Avalanche and you can expect everything to be ice cold. The fruit symbols offer a nice pop of colour but they still retain their chilly edge. You witness a crisp blue sky across the top of the world's tallest peak and even the multiplier figures have been frozen in place. A few snowflakes fall around the reels and occasionally the game’s title trembles a little to remind you that this game is situated in quite an inhospitable environment.
There's not much to this creation in terms of mechanics and features so it was quite easy for the designers to lay everything out clearly, and this applies to mobile phone screens as well. A dramatic score stays by your side as you hit the spin button and overall, it has a simple but effective look and feel.
If you’re more interested in hitting the occasional big win and knowing exactly what's happening while you do it, then they don't come much more self-explanatory than Everest Avalanche. You don't need to be a slot-spinning expert to get to grips with this game. I didn't uncover any outstanding payouts up there on this snowy peak but I'm fairly confident that someone will scale this max win at some point.
