Hacksaw Gaming has done it again and offers an epic version of one of its classic games, as we've seen in Epic Ze Zeus. The thing that makes these games slightly more extreme than the others is largely down to statistics, but also the opportunity to go straight to all the best bits when you want to.
This epic adventure begins, as it did before, with grabbing wins on 14 paylines. The best of the bunch will get you up to 50x and you need at least 3 matching symbols on a payline to land the wins.
Those payouts get increasingly better as you land the 6 symbols because these will turn into Wicked Wheels. Some wheels are blue and some wheels are red, but they both offer the same kind of prizes.
The blue wheels can give you multipliers worth up to 100x and a free spins trigger, along with a max win opportunity. The red symbols offer virtually the same, but those multipliers can grow up to 500x.
If your Wicked Wheel lands on a 6 symbol, then you'll trigger the free spins bonus. 2 Wicked Wheels will get you the middle bonus and 3 Wicked Wheels will trigger the Epic bonus.
In the first game, there's an increased chance of landing Wicked Wheels, and the second one gives you a better chance of landing the red ones. The epic game guarantees a red wheel with each spin.
The options to buy into the game's special parts are quite extensive, and you can activate these via the Buy Bonus button. You can increase your chances of activating the wheels, guarantee wheels, and buy into all 3 of the bonus games. The bonus game options won't be available within the UK's borders.
Land a 6 symbol on the grid, and you'll see a Wicked Wheel come to life. These wheels will offer various prizes, including multipliers, free spins entry, and even the max win. Some wheels are red, and others are blue, and the difference is the size of the multipliers that you can achieve.
3 levels of a free spins bonus exist and to get there, you need your wheel to hit a 6 symbol as it spins. If you do this on 2 wheels, then you get the second bonus and so on. The original game gives you a better chance of landing wheels, and the second one will only produce red wheels. The epic version guarantees red wheels.
The original SixSixSix game may well have had a slightly smaller max win, but it didn't feel quite so brutally volatile as this game. I worked my way through my entire demo balance trying to land the max win of just over 20,000x, but I didn't get anywhere close. Even the smaller wins seemed a little timid, and unless I used the buy bonus options, I didn't see much wheel action either. However, I know from experience with this game's predecessor that it can pay big, so some players will get extremely lucky from time to time.
There's very little to help you decide which of the two games to play if you are basing your decision on design alone. It's pretty much a carbon copy, and apart from the little extras that appear here and there, there's nothing in it. The soundtrack is still fun, and despite the dark theme, it doesn't get too gruesome on your mobile or other devices.
Epic SixSixSix does give high rollers a chance to splash the cash a little more and take a shot at the max win, and the rest of us can head straight to the more exciting parts as well for some fairly substantial buy-in costs. However, I didn't get the same level of excitement as I did from the first, but that's only due to luck. If this one starts paying, then you'll see all the features appear, and you could pick up some big wins as well.
