In true Nolimit City style, Bounty Hunters presents myriad ways to build up multipliers and enjoy respins along the way. This time, the theme is based on one of their favourite topics, the Wild West, and we are looking for those sharpshooters to take down the bad guys and uncover every last gold coin that they’ve stolen. There is a massive 52,310x max win on the cards, so let's take a closer look at the details.

Bounty Hunters Features

As you would expect, Bounty Hunters is all about the features, features and features. We’re pretty sure that Nolimit City will eventually do away with the base game and just make their slots 1 long feature. But until that day, they’re still presenting us with a bit of both and that’s just fine!

Speaking of base games, this one takes place on a 5x3 grid and wins are scored by landing 3-5 regular paying symbols on adjacent rows from left to right. Nothing too weird about that and so far so good!

Moving on to special symbols and features, the first things to look out for are the Bonus symbols and Scatter symbols. Scatters land on the 3 central reels and Bonus symbols on reels 1 & 5. 3 Scatter symbols trigger Raid Spins and if there’s a Bonus symbol present on the same row, you get Showdown Spins.

Raid Spins & Showdown Spins

The reelset grows to 5x4 for this part of the game and you also have special reels running down the sides and across the bottom. Thugs & Boss symbols land with coin values up to 25 for the Thugs and 5 for the Bosses. They stop on the main part of the grid while the Bounty Hunter symbols use the 3 extra areas and they carry up to 12x multipliers.

The bonus begins with 3 respins and each time a Thug or Boss symbol lands, these are replenished. If you see 3 spins without any of these symbols, then it’s game over.

The Bounty Hunter symbols collect coin values from the Thugs and Bosses—which are then removed—and apply their own multiplier when they land in the same horizontal or vertical line. But if the Thugs or Boss symbols are out of the line, then they stay put for the next respin.

The Boss symbols also perform an upgrade by either adding all other values to their own, adding their own value to Thug symbols or throwing out a progressive multiplier.

Players outside the UK might be able to head straight to this feature for 100x if the option is available.

Showdown Spins have a similar respin action but a slightly different grid and modifiers. The grid is now 5x5 and we have a Hard Honcho Boss in the middle of 12 Thug symbols. He begins with a 6x coin value, which can increase, and his value might get added to that of the Thugs if you’re lucky.

This feature might also be available for some players outside the UK for 850x your bet, so you can safely assume that this part of the game should see the biggest wins.

Bounty Hunter Wilds

These Wild symbols are stacked 3 high and if they land completely in view, a respin is triggered. If they are partially in view then the xNugde system brings the stack into view, 1 step at a time, with a respin and adds +1 to the multiplier.

Mexican Standoff

2 bonus symbols can land but not trigger the respins bonus feature if there isn’t a Scatter symbol on the same row. This will bring about a respin with both bonus symbols morphing into a sticky Wild with a 6x multiplier.

Watch the Bounty Hunters take out Thugs and Bosses to add their values to your growing multiplier. Additional modifiers can also see values change hands to increase your chances of winning.

The Hard Honcho is now in the middle of a gang of Thug symbols who feed their multipliers into him and sometimes he returns the favour. There could be an enormous multiplier at the end of the feature.

Bounty Hunters Review

There is no such thing as a simple slot review with any release from Nolimit City these days! They've taken it upon themselves to become the masters of intricate nudges, multipliers, respins and every other type of feature that you can imagine and they certainly are not stopping anytime soon. Bounty Hunters is their latest creation and it looks set to be a surefire hit.

Design

Nolimit City games always have a grimy Edge depicting some form of danger or another. With Bounty Hunters, it's the turn of the lawless characters in the Wild West who are firing stray bullets all over the place and if you are lucky, they might just take out one of the bandits and empty his pockets in the process.

The game begins with a 5x3 grid with stereotypical symbols that are perfectly fitting for the theme and some good-looking gold revolvers that represent the Wild symbols. The grid will change in size as you progress to different areas and as we mentioned before, additional reels are added to the sides and the bottom to make way for the Bounty Hunters to do their thing.

During the features, you are treated to a heavy rock background that you wouldn't ordinarily associate with this genre. But the sound effects work brilliantly with the soundtrack as various reprobates settle their scores in the local saloon bar.

Game Play

Thanks to the xNudge feature, the base game enjoys opportunities to see some multiplier action along with respins as well, but heading inside the bar to watch the two main features unfold is the aim to see those bigger wins.

Players outside the UK might want to consider making use of the Nolimit bonus and buying directly into one of the features where possible. However, Showdown Spins is one of the more expensive bonus buy options we have ever seen at 850x.

Win Potential

Anyone looking for high volatility and big potential winnings has come to the right place as Bounty Hunter presents the highest of volatility settings and 52,310x as a maximum payout. RTP levels vary but max out at 96.07%, so look out for this before you play.

Our Verdict

Bounty Hunters certainly is not one for slot fans looking for a simple, easy ride. It does take a bit of getting used to and you'll have to hit the spin button a few times before it all falls into place. Be prepared for a long adventure if you want to see all possible features come your way and this means you will have to pay particularly close attention to your bankroll. It's a top setup with some of the most advanced gaming options and a massive top payout. Who could say no to this one?
