Blood & Shadow Review
Haven't you heard? Gothic slots are in and are all the rage at the moment. Ever since Nolimit City's Book of Shadows, players have been pleading with the developer to bring out another gothic-inspired slot.
Thankfully, the developers listened to bring out Blood & Shadow. Playing on 5-reels with up to 1,024 ways to win, Blood & Shadow is a slot filled with demonic visuals and epic gameplay. To make it even better, there's a maximum win of 6,666x the stake.
Design
If you've played Book of Shadows, then you'll be familiar with the visuals in Blood & Shadow. The overall design looks like a detailed graphic novel with a cool style. The background is an altar filled with skulls and candles.
Following this, there are demonic symbols on the reels such as three-eyed crows, venomous snakes, the Grim Reaper, demon dogs, the demonic girl from the original and even more demons! It's quite spooky but done tastefully well.
During the base game, there isn't a huge amount of music going on. Instead, there are ambient sounds of a church which is even creepier. There is intense music throughout the bonus round with some sinister visuals as well. Most of the screen turns red and it's exciting to watch.
Gameplay
What we loved the most about Blood & Shadow is that the gameplay is nothing too complicated. Nolimit City has a reputation for delivering over-the-top slots that just confuse the majority of players.
This slot keeps it entirely symbol with the Ritual Bar and the bonus rounds. There are other features but nothing too crazy which is refreshing to see. Blood & Shadow is just a solid slot filled with entertaining moments.
Win Potential
The overall win potential is decent with an RTP of 96.13% followed by a high volatility level. There isn't a huge maximum win for this slot but its one that is befitting for the tone.
In this slot, you can win up to 6,666x the stake through the bonus round. It's a fun amount that I'm sure will appeal to any slot player and make them smile.
Our Verdict
Blood & Shadow is easily one of the most creative and fun Nolimit City slots in a while! It's unexpected and looks absolutely stunning. The design is fantastic and shows a high level of detail from the slot developer.
Thankfully, the gameplay manages to hold up with some solid moments throughout. The Ritual Bar is a great feature that goes well with the overall tone. If you are going to play one Nolimit City slot this year, make sure it's Blood & Shadow.
