Created by cartoonist Mort Walker, Beetle Bailey is an American comic strip published in 1950 and is set in a fictional US army post. The comic follows the titular character of Beetle Bailey as he quits college at Rockview University in order to join the army.
He is a lazy sort and most of the comic focuses on the inept characters at Camp Swampy. In 2021, Lady Luck Games teamed up with King Features which owns the rights to Beetle Bailey leading to the first collaboration in this partnership with the online slot Beetle Bailey.

Design
As the slot opens up, there is a huge amount going on in the background which brings the slot to life. The game takes place at Camp Swampy and features the military bunks, the guard post and multiple beloved characters throughout the series with Miss Buxley, Otto, Orville P. Snorkel, Amos T. Halftrack and Cookie Jowls.
Amazingly, there are animations throughout the slot with Otto walking in the distance and Beetle sleeping at the gate. All the designs resemble the comic strip but with a slight 3D design to make it look more modern. In terms of the audio, there is triumphant army music with an orchestra playing in the distance. It definitely feels patriotic but there is a slight edge of comedy within the music as well.
