The wild symbol seems to come around quite often in this game and that's good news as it can help pick up some decent base game wins. However, things get much better if you manage to hit enough cash symbols and trigger the hold & win bonus. For me, the payouts from this feature were much better than the free spins game.
The volatility is medium but unfortunately, the hit rate is very low so you won't see wins landing all that often. When they do, they should help to replenish your balance somewhat and hopefully, you'll see the occasional big win come your way.
As I mentioned before, this is quite a bold creation and SYNOT hasn't gone in for any subtle details. The sides of the screen are blurred out so what you're working with is the large set of reels with bright-coloured symbols and some pillars outlining the game area. The underwater feel is created by a few bubbles here and there and some coral on the seabed. It's not a masterpiece but at least it looks good on smaller mobile screens.
Atlantis Gold offers a combination of features that we've seen thousands of times before and as we make our way into the new year, I'm hoping to see developers start to break away from this safe model.
On the plus side, the max win is more realistic than you get with some other games and given how frequently I picked up wins thanks to the wild symbols, I'd say it's worth taking a chance on this slot, at least for a few spins anyway.
